Thanks Scrapnana very helpful link.On 2 previous cruises we had inside cabin a found it a tad claustrophobic thought a cabin with window would let in natural light without having to get a balcony which we probably use a great deal.

Dear Ernie we just had an obstructed balcony on QE yes it didn't look great but it was a bargain price and we could still sit out on it - plus we had our own lifeboat!!
Hi Teresa Price,

A friend (in an obstructed-by-a-lifeboat balcony cabin) said to me "If there was ever an emergency I'd simply climb over the rail... ;) . When they lowered the boat to fill it at the promenade, they'd find me already sitting in a corner, quietly waiting, hat and coat on, surrounded by a small mountain of my luggage. I wouldn't be left behind" ;) .

(I think she was kidding about the luggage... I think? :D )

Happy sailings :)
