Two Rileys Posted April 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2017 Hello, My mother owns an EV Rider folding mobility scooter. I know the gangway ramps are pretty steep in Charleston and she's a little concerned that her scooter will not be powerful enough to handle the grade. Do any of you have any experience boarding the ship in Charleston with this type of scooter? Thanks!
ProfessorEFFE Posted April 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2017 Depending on the situation, your Mom could get assistance from the ship's personnel getting that scooter on and off the gang plank. When in doubt ask for assistance. Shouldn't ever be a problem. Bon Voyage!
raindropsalways Posted April 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 4, 2017 I do not recall having any problems in Charleston. Actually, I think it was one of the easier ports to get on and off the ship. Regardless, whenever you are getting off or on the ship normally has someone pushing or holding the scooter. My Go-go does not have much power, so someone usually gives me a little push going up. Have awonderful cruise, Betty
