Hand phone to teen or 20 something with request that they turn off all apps. Resume using phone.:)

If you take the phone to the internet expert (at GS on Dream/Fantasy, internet cafe on Magic/Wonder), they are happy to turn off everything for you. But be careful--the missed one app on daughter's phone. She found it when she realized that she'd used a couple of mb "doing nothing." I suggested she check apps, and she found one. After that, 14 days of minimal use.

Also be sure to turn off automatic updates to apps or software on the phone those can eat up data in the background and you won't even notice it.

It has nothing to do with your service provider (who may or may not be supplying your phone). It is all about the phone settings. Sorry, but my kid knows more about fixing phone problems than the dudes at our local AT&T outlet--she fixed her own after they spent an hour, made phone calls to the national office, etc. They ultimately told her it was an Apple problem...she was sure it was not. And she fixed it.

Sorry, but it has everything to do with your provider, assuming that the provider supplied the phone. They are the ones who can help.

Look, it's easy and has nothing to do with apps. Turn on airplane mode and then turn on wifi. Unless you've signed up for the onboard internet access, and are logged into that, the only app that will work is your DCL app.

This is a true statement, but it doesn't provide OP with what they want. They want to be able to use internet for e-mail, etc. without having their package eaten alive by "stuff" happening on the phone.

I haven't been yet, so I can't speak to the accuracy ... however, there is a detailed list of instructions on another blog you may find helpful. Google "10 Steps to Conserve Wi-Fi Onboard Your Disney Cruise" and you should have it.
