mistshar Posted April 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2017 There was a question asked some time back about using self-assist if you were using a wheelchair or scooter. Last year when we went on Liberty of the Seas, they specifically stated that anyone in a wheelchair or using a scooter could not use self-assist. However we just got off the LOS and they have changed the process. You are now allowed to use a wheelchair (if you have someone to push you) or a scooter if you can handle your own luggage or have someone with you who can. I think that is great! Geldhart Posted April 14, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2017 Makes sense. No reason to ban someone able to get themselves off the ship on their own. As long as it is clear that there is absolutely zero help available for ANYONE that is fine. I know a guy he just attaches his carrry on to his belt so it doesn't fall or of his lap and wheels away. mamasylvia Posted April 14, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2017 Glad to hear at least one cruise line is sensible! Doesn't help me as we are cruising Norwegian but maybe the trend will spread.
