Dakkar Posted May 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 24, 2017 Hi, We have a cruise finishing in Athens in May 2018. The ship is schedule to arrive at 6AM and we can have a flight leaving from Athens Airport at 10h10 AM. Is it feasible? Is it too tight? Thanks Dakkar
nordski Posted May 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2017 Too tight for us. If the ship arrives on time, and you either have a taxi waiting or you pick one up Piraeus, I suppose it might be feasible. But you are counting on everything going as planned, and we would avoid that stress. If you check the ChoiceAir flights, I'm guessing the earliest flight departure they will schedule will be around noon. That being said, adventurous souls might go for this. Dakkar Posted May 24, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted May 24, 2017 Thanks Nordski, We are going with our Aeroplan points from Air Canada fidelity plan. My first planning was to leave the day after disembarkation. But I saw this morning that Aeroplan released flights for the day of disembarkation. But yes for me too it looks too tight. I will stick with my first plan and I will book tomorrow for the day after :-) Thank you and have a great day Dakkar
nordski Posted May 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 24, 2017 Glad the advice was cautious but useful. We are making exactly the same decision in Edinburgh this summer in order to get a direct flight from Air Canada. Some people will disagree, but we are always happy to spend an extra day in Athens. There are interesting side trips to Cape Sounion or to visit the canal through the Isthmus of Corinth. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
