Buy fttf before signing up for shuttle

Just spent over an hour on the phone with several carnival reps, one slot came available for fttf but when I tried to add to cart it said their was a conflict with another excursion and wouldn't let me purchase.

Two reps were more interested in getting to their next call instead of figuring out why that message was popping up, the third did get to the bottom of it for me. If you book the shuttle with carnival from airport and they think you will not be at pier in time for the luggage to make it to your room by guaranteed time the system will not allow you to purchase fttf . She said if you bought fttf and then booked the shuttle she thought the system would allow, sailing in three days so can't cancel shuttle and rebook as penalty for last five days before cruise plus shuttle tickets no longer being sold. Just an FYI for others, not really complaining,

Not true my very first cruise (I was a virgin at this) I booked the shuttle from FLL to port of Miami and bought FTTF several weeks after and when I got to the port around 2:00pm they told me you should have arrived earlier ( kind of hard to do when you're flying day of cruise and wont do that again either)to take advantage of getting on board earlier but it didn't matter to me we had 2 tender ports which helped and not having to wait at the customer service desk in those long lines was all worth it. So FTTF does not care if you take a shuttle or not. What might have happened if there is only 1 FTTF left whoever books it first gets it

I am glad you were able to get it sorted out.

This is yet another reason to book with a PVP. The booking is easy it is all the other little things that can go sideways and the misinformation that is provided from CSRs that make a good PVP worthwhile.

Your luggage is NOT guaranteed to arrive by a certain time. With FTTF(diamond and plat perk) it is priority delivery. I have arrived at port as late as 1 PM and had my luggage within an hour. So while the system might have a conflict because you are booking two excursions on the same day with overlapping times it wasn't because of luggage delivery.

Have a wonderful, memory making cruise.

Put it out as an FYI hockey guru, as of today is true, have had fttf several times first time had shuttle later than this times shuttle yet still able to get. Carnival changes specifics as time goes on, booking a grand suite now gets you basically all the perks of fttf but a year ago you got express check in with grand suite no early room being ready or early luggage or complimentary water etc. Things change doesn't make them not true.

Sailing from port canaveral on the Magic, got a call from pvp about a casino rate six weeks ago too cheap to pass up on.We are flying in to Orlando so figured shuttle easier.

Aaahhhh. I have never been to PC but from what I understand, it is a bit of a drive from the airport so the shuttle may indeed be the best choice if you don't want to rent a car.

It is about a 45 minute ride I guess, irony is the two perks I wanted were access to room to drop off underwater photography equipment, and shorter line for guest services to purchase cheers with gift cards at precruise rate,

Will just prepurchase cheers and enjoy a drink while sitting on my gear lol not the end of the world. !!! Two more days

FWIW we used http://www.cortrans-shuttle.com/ for our May Magic cruise. $20 per person each way. We got off early and was able to use the 8:30 shuttle instead of 9AM. Great reviews on Trip Adviser.
