As it gets closer to my second time on the Triumph this year, third cruise of my life, I am getting extremely excited. This will be my birthday cruise with my best friend and a group of females from my job. Anyways, my best friend and I are pretty big drinkers and have decided to try cheers. I think I've read everything there is to know about the package. So.....

What are some must try drinks on the ship? I'd also like to hear how y'all made the package worth it.. How easy/hard is it to reach that 15 drink limit?

Hello,

We are sailing on a three day cruise Sept 15. I figure this would be a great opportunity to use cheers. We might not exit the ship on the one port day.

I can imagine if we do a 7 days cruise with three long days off the ship, that cheers might not be worth it.

Anyway, I am going to get a couple Bloody Mary's and a couple Alchemy bar drinks and I will be at $50 :) so anything above that I am saving money. I could easily drink three or four Bloody Mary's everyday.

Have a wonderful cruise.

We're going on a quick 4 day trip in a few weeks & have bought the Cheers for the first time!

I fully intend on trying every single frilly umbrella drink with top shelf alcohol while sun bathing on the pool deck.

I think my only way I'm going to ensure I get my $$ worth is making all my alcohol top shelf! I mean why not?! It's a $50/drink limit! I'm taking advantage!

Have fun!

Just got back off an 8 day on the dream and booked for the triumph for Christmas. We bought the cheers package on the dream and again for the triumph. You don't have to drink 15 drinks to get your moneys worth.

We both drink long island tea . At $9 each . also if i am enjoying a cigar i get a double makers mark on the rocks.another $9 drink 5 drinks a day is break even for us. Beer it takes around 9 i think to break even.

Only time i saw anyone cut off at 15 drinks was 2 guys that would sit at the casino bar all day drinking beer . Once they would reach their limit they would get their wives to start buying for them.

My cabin mate and I were cut off everyday on our 5 night cruise on the Triumph. We usually had a drink with break fast, then a spiked coffee, and a shot all before 10. Then by 5 we had perhaps 2 more cocktails and 2 more shots. These were patron shots, or the delicious "Cinnamon Toast Crunch shot". Then dinner time. We usually tried the port of call drink in the MDR, followed by a chocolatini as dessert. Then a drink with the show. That's 10 before midnight. Then we ended our night in the club taking shots since you can't have drinks on the dance floor.

Our first night being cut off, we attempted to purchase more drinks but were not allowed to. Luckily we made friends at the LGBT meet and greet. Shots were on them at this point.

Hitting that limit definitely isn't a must, it was more like a challenge to me. We definitely got our monies worth. With shots and drinks ranging from $8-14, not including the gratuity they add on when you don't have Cheers. I figure we drank about $750 worth of alcohol in 5 days! So worth it.

Now trying to take my cabin mates into getting Cheers! for our Dream cruise in January. $402/pp seems like a lot of money.

If they cut you off does that also include all the other drinks that come with it? I purchased it because I like to drink the virgin frozen drinks (which as I understand count toward the limit) and I could easily drink 15 a day. I wonder if then I would still be able to drink coffee drinks (the non spiked kind) which as I understand don't count toward the limit.

Virgins do not count against your 15. And yes once you hit 15 alcoholic drinks you can still order non alcohol drinks

Someone else said somewhere that they do, which is why I was worried. As long as they don't also cut you off for the non alcoholic drinks I'm all good. Thanks for the info.
