Any tips / advice appreciated

We are new to cruising and to date have done just 2 x Thomson Cruises, realise Thomson are quite different but are now going on Costa Deliziosa from Venice on 10th April, the itinerary looks good and all places we have never visited before.

Is there much difference between a Classic Balcony and Premium Balcony other than location, only other benefit i see is continental breakfast in bed which wouldn't bother with and an option to book a table at night ?

Dining - is it just 2 set times for evening meal and you are allocated a table for the duration. this different to Thomson but aware most companies do this. Is there also a buffet option if not wanting the a la carte

Thanks all

The advantage of Premium over Classic cabin category:

- You can choose your own cabin

- You can choose either first or second dinner sitting

- Continental Breakfast in the Cabin

- Free 24 hour room service

- Double Costa Club points

- 10% discount of your nect Costa Cruise.

Dinner is a two sitting affair, you will allocated to one of them with a set table number (this will be in your cabin when you arrive). The actually time of the sittings can vary depending on time of year, region, ports of call etc. The actuals time will be published in the daily program (TODAY) that you will receive in your cabin the night before.

There used to be an evening buffet, but that was withdrawn about two years ago. Costa is reintroducing the evening buffet across its fleet over the coming months, so it will be a hit or miss if you have it on your cruise. Suggest you ask this question a couple of weeks before your cruise (state ship, date and route) to get more uptodate information.

Hi, not sure if this is of any help but I noticed on the Diadema (not sure if Deliziosa is the same) that the classic balconies were on the lower decks & had more of an enclosed balcony where as the premium ones were higher up with s much nicer open balcony. So may be worth paying the little bit extra for the premium one with the other added extras too :)
