I'm in Cabo and Puerto Vallarta next week

The weather forecast indicates 50% chance of rain in Cabo and 80% chance in Puerto Vallarta and scattered thunderstorms

Are their restrictions on water sports activity e.g kayaking when it thunders ?

Has the rain and thunder been sporadic in both locations this week ?

Sorry to hear about the bad weather! Hopefully it will be sunny when you arrive. Don't get in the water if you hear thunder. Wait 30 min after the last time you heard it.

In general during the rainy season rain and thunder happens during the late afternoon and night, not very often during the day.

I am almost sure during thunder all activities on water will be suspended.
