Xmas for twenty somethings

We are looking at xmas cruise and would be taking our 21 and 22 year old daughters. Our younger daughter has sailed on RCCL before and says they would be the most fun - thinks she wouldn't have as much fun on the other cruise lines. We would like to take a look at all our options and see what is available. Can anyone tell me if the bars etc are all hoping at that time of year regardless of cruise line? Would the ships have a wide range of ages at that time as well?

Thanks for your input.

Was that your daughters only cruise or has she sailed more times on Royal?

I have sailed both Carnival and ROyal. My kids have sailed both also.

We all had the best vacations when we cruised but the kids prefered Carnivals nightlife atmospher over Royals. Not saying one was bad then the other- Carnival had more choices.

We sailed RCCL, Voyager (with the rock climbing wall and ice skating rink) when our daughter was 22. There were a lot of twenty somethings on board. The ship is well arranged with an open mall type area. It's easy to people watch and get an idea of whose on board. The singles traveling with their families were able to find each other and get acquainted if they were at all outgoing. We rarely saw our daughter except at meals and she had a wonderful time. In fact because she had so much fun she decided to cruise this summer with a friend. They chose Princess' Caribbean because they got a good deal price wise. We were a little leary that the passengers would be older but felt since the girls were going in mid June and the ship is huge, there would still be plenty in their age group. Not so. The ship isn't really laid out to meet and greet and there were far fewer in that age group. They wouldn't recommend Princess but would definitely sail on RCCl again.
