Sea Days

Hi TTS,

For what it's worth. We use to choose Med cruises because they were port intensive in the days that I consider SS were "far better", and we did so because they were visiting places we knew well and could as Europeans get to for a day or two if we wanted.

So the cruise was all about when every one else got off and gave us the ship and MDR to ourselves for lunch and many idle hours of having the whole quiet ship to ourselves including all the bars and staff. We'd get off with the first tender of the day and go for an early morning wander and return just as most others were either getting up and or finishing their brekkies and getting off. A really good empty ship for the day was always a great experience. And many days even better. There is nothing better than sitting at the back of the ship with a cocktail and watching many many people struggling to get on a donkey in Santorini or the queues for the funicular. And amny other ports. The sport of ports. :D

That worked for us for many years.

Jeff
