Beloved Pride passenger dies

Omar Sharif, 83, died yesterday of a heart attack. He was a favorite passenger on the Pride in the late 90's. The gals in the beauty salon told me he was THE most handsome man that ever sailed Seabourn. Even though he was an international bridge Ace he never played aboard. I was disappointed that I missed sailing with him by one week, twice.

Along with Mr. Sharif, Tova and Ernest Borgnine sailed on the Pride often. Ernest also was a great actor. Tova is from Oslo, Norway and I think still a great beauty. She has become very successful with her perfume line.
