We have been on 3 cruises that have included 9 excursions. One of our favorites was in Freeport. It was the "Kayaking and Nature Adventure" booked through Carnival. It was everything as advertised. I would highly recommend it...as do others as it gets very high marks/reviews.

We did Seahorse Sailing and Catamaran in Nassau. We had a very enjoyable time, we went on the early boat. Afterwards we went back to our boat and changed. Good knowledge of the area, nice sailing, lots of snorkeling time.

Had lunch at Lukka Kairi, which you can see from the dock. Great lunch and highly recommended, especially the conch fritters.

We also walked around Nassau and did the Fort and Queen's staircase. Wouldn't do that part again, we just didn't feel safe walking on our own. We would potentially consider a beach break in the future if we were to return.

Just did the kayaking and nature last week. It was great. Don't be scared off by the "short nature hike" it was really only 10 minutes of walking. Mostly kayaking then about 1 1/2 hour on the beautiful beach. And we got to feed the friendly native raccoons! Everything about it was just as I read in the reviews. WEAR WATER SHOES is the best advice I can give you, and bug spray.

Freeport - we did a jet ski tour. It was totally awesome! I think it was 2 hours in length and we loved it. We went through some residential areas and then to a private island. The tour guide even dove for a starfish for us to handle. Best shore excursion ever!!!!

Atlantis is a hotel...you can go and gamble in the casino, or eat in the restaurants, or shop in their stores...take a cab. You cannot see or go to the pool without a pricey pass. Unless you're planning to make a day of it at the pool/beach, there is little reason to pay them to "see" Atlantis.

My husband and I did this in Freeport and it was definitely one of my favorite excursions. We did this 5 years ago. This September I went with my mom and we did the bike tour. It was a lot of fun too, but it was really hot.

Tony Macaroni's in Freeport! Just take a cab. I absolutely loved the food, Tony is great and it is more than just a restaurant! http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g147420-d1081664-Reviews-Tony_Macaroni_s_Conch_Experience-Freeport_Grand_Bahama_Island_Bahamas.html

Thanks for the info. Have heard several people talk about this place and Tony. Will check him out in January on our cruise.
