Grand Turk "on your own"

Hey All, never been to GT before. I would like to snorkel. DO you think I can do this on my own/ off the beach and see anything of interest?

Yes,

You can snorkel off the beach at the cruise port, if you have your own snorkel equipment. Better snorkeling is south of the excursion dock toward Boaby Point Or you can snorkel at Governors beach, but there are no facilities, or limited facilities there. The better place to shore snorkel is up at Pillory Beach, north of downtown Cockburntown at the Bohio Resort. They do limit day guests depending upon the number of staying guests they have.

Better to take an offshore snorkeling excursion tot he Wall and other spots.
