We have had several 7As and actually prefer the ones that bridge the center of the lifeboat instead of the arms - seemed to block less view -( of course we look straight out more than down )

Just stay away from the 1st 3 and you will be fine !!:D

We have now booked the cruise and are really looking forward to it, the Carnival agent said we will get to know our cabin about a week out from sail date. As previously mentioned it will be lovely just to sit out and if there is scenery to be looked at we will stand!

Am looking at booking a cruise on Pride and was interested in the obstructed view balcony cabin. Is it better to get a cabin between 2 lifeboats, or in the center of a lifeboat? I was thinking of getting a room between the lifeboats, but looks like there is some king of support thingy between them(lifeboats). Any thoughts?

We did one before, 5185, and we liked it. There is a support but it's not intrusive, you definitely want one between the lifeboats and stay away from the 1st 3 lifeboats, as these are larger lifeboats and come up higher

Here's a video of 5245 on Pride. It's a wheelchair accessible room so the room is wider but not as deep as standard rooms. The balcony is also longer. You can see that the obstruction is quite noticeable.

That's not a good representation of most the 7A's because it is right next to the balconies that jut out. There's only 6 like that on the ship. Actually I think less because the 2 obstructed views furthest to the back are actually higher categories and not 7A's
