Hi this is the first time we have cruised with Fred Olsen (previously P&O and NCL) and first mini cruise so I have a few questions:-

1. Will there be a formal night on this 3 night cruise?

2. What time is the earliest embarkation time?

3. Does the pub on board show football matches????

4. Will there be any provision on board for a 5 year old?

If someone could help me with these questions it would be much appreciated

Not sure I can really help much but we did a 2 nighter at Christmas - there was no formal night but a lot of people, us included, did dress formally on the 2nd night - it should say when you get your tickets through.

Your embarkation time depends on your cabin category - again this will be stated on your tickets.

Can't help re football - sorry

There was entertainment / activities for children over Christmas when we went but I have a feeling an audit has to accompany children. We have teens so didn't really take a lot of notice - there were quite a few children onboard though.

Enjoy your cruise.

Unlikely but that doesn't stop people dressing up anyway :) As mentioned, your cruise details will state if there is when you get them.

2. What time is the earliest embarkation time?

You will not be boarding before 2pm and in all probability somewhat later than this as the ship is scheduled to return from the previous cruise late morning that same day.

Plan to eat lunch before you board as there will be no food served before dinner other than afternoon tea (cakes/sandwiches)

Your scheduled boarding time will be notified to you before the day and will depend on which cabin grade you have booked.

3. Does the pub on board show football matches????

No. The focus on board is on live entertainment, I don't recall any public TV screens at all and TV reception in your cabin is necessarily poor most of the time but you may find a watchable sports channel there.

4. Will there be any provision on board for a 5 year old?

Again no. Fred Olsen does not cater for children except on cruises where it is specifically mentioned, Christmas for example, as in general families with young children are very rare on these cruises.
