Purchase future cruise on the last day of cruising

I remember cruising before and the cruise line was trying to sell me a credit to put towards my next cruise.

What is that call? Is it a good idea?

I can't remember if it was Carnival or Norwegian 🤣

I know Royal Caribbean did that. I've been considering doing that for the next cruise while we are on this cruise. Is it a better deal usually?

Once upon a time CCL sold an FCC that save you money on next cruise which can be booked after you got home.

Now to get this you must book the cruise while on the ship.

Norwegian does it but don't recall it being offered on Carnival.

Yep NCL - good deal if you are certain to be booking before too long...

Carnival USE TO sell future cruise vouchers. You paid $100 for the voucher, then when you redeemed it, you got your $100 towards your cruise deposit, plus some OBC ($100 for a 7 day cruise).

Now in order to get the future cruise deal, you have to actually book your cruise, and pay your deposit while on the ship. And if you do, you get some OBC ($100 for a 7 day cruise, $50 for a 5 day cruise).

On some ships Carnival is testing a new future cruise program with less OBC, and you still have to book the future cruise while on the cruise.
