piratesofny Posted March 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2017 Has anyone rented a car at this port? If so, we would love to hear from you. Initial research seems to indicate that car drop off or pickup by the rental agency is not available. We were thinking of taking a taxi or the train and tram to the airport and renting a car there. Any advice is welcome.
tartanexile81 Posted March 31, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2017 If you are set on hiring at the airport, it would be best to just get a taxi straight there. It would waste too much going into Edinburgh first. It would cost about £25 for a taxi. I just wonder if you tried a smaller car hire company they might be more responsive to meeting you at the pier. This one isn't too far North of the Road Bridge and if you're heading to St Andrews, Perthshire etc, it would be on the way. Worth a call? http://acecarandvanhire.co.uk

Did you end up finding a place or did you have to taxi in to town? Any suggestions? Please and thanks!
