Cruise insurance policy cover limit

Does anyone know if the insurance policy cover limit you have to have is still 10 million?.

We are taking my father-in-law who is 85 and has understandably some medical conditions, so are looking to get insurance as late as possible, as at the moment he seems to have a lot of monitoring going on and if his medication is changed I don't want the hassle of changing the policy to include these changes and paying extra to that which I have already declared.

I have managed to find an insurance company to cover his conditions, it is around £200 for him alone for 1 week and they wont offer an annual policy.

Sorry to all, I have just found the item on the P&O website - it is 2 million.

Can I ask which company you used. I'm going with my dad who's 83, and has a medical history, and before I start ringing round for prices,

We took mother in law for her 90 th birthday.

We booked and paid for her insurance with age Uk.at the same time as we booked cruise.It was a single trip insurance but because we paid in advance it covered us in case we had to cancel.

Our own insurance is an annual with cruise cover included.

I used justtravelcover.com, you don't have to ring them like some when you start declaring medical conditions, it can all be done on-line.
