Laika Sproed Posted May 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2015 We will be on a Princess Cruise stopping in Warnemunde on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. We are there from 7 am - 9 pm; having never traveled in this region I need input as to whether the local transportation (train?) is easily accessible or whether we need to take the ship excursion to see Schwerin & Rostock. I hate to give up Wismar if I can fit it all in? My ideal would be to go to Schwerin, see the Island/Castle, return to Wismar, see that town and then on to Rostock and back to Warnemunde. What is the advice of others. My German is poor (I can still remember to count to 10 but not alot else from college German). We have traveled alot but most places they have spoken English. There are several threads on this already. Do a quick search and they will come up. Or else Anni will assist you along the way. The train is very easy to maneuver and you will have no problems accomplishing what you want to .
