Forgive my ignorance, but I was under the impression, you had to book a tour with the cruise line. To get you visa, to get off the ship.

Am I wrong on this? How do you fill out the forms for the visa, if you don't have a ships tour?

thank you,

it may depend on the cruise line but we have to download the form & fill it in then send back prior to sailing

You can DIY as long as you keep track of your comings & goings for the US government

I am guess it is the same for Non US citizens but time will tell

Check with your cruise line

I gather the answer can depend on your nationality and the cruise line you have chosen. But a Cuban Visa form is issued to you when you are entering the country either while aboard your flight into Cuba or aboard your cruise departing for Cuba. Once completed you may use it to leave the ship either on a tour or on your own as you wish. Just don't lose it.
