Citi Thank You Rewards

Just for the heck of it after getting my Citibank bill and seeing I have 26,000 Thank you points, I checked out the site to see if they have Carnival Gift Cards available for redemption. Low and behold they do! Each 10,000 points gets a $100 gift card, so I ordered 2. Free shipping.

I have a Citi Thank You Preferred card and get Thank You points, but I have never seen these as an option. I just checked and now they are there...that is exciting!

I used one today as a matter of fact. The weird thing is, while it shows accepted when redeeming, when I go back to the booking it doesn't show that it's been applied. That doesn't surprise me much however because it still shows a deposit due even though we paid one a couple weeks ago.

I just called Carnival. The person I spoke with said they usually apply via the website immediately, so he took my gift card number over the phone and it worked.
