richmore Posted May 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2017 We will be visiting Victoria in a couple of weeks from our Explorer Cruise. We are in port from 9-6. Our plan is to take the shuttles that wait by the cruise terminal (per these boards)and visit the Butchart Gardens. Anyone have issues with these shuttles? When we get back- we were hoping to rent bikes and go trough town. We have a 2 year old and nine year old. Is the downtown doable for a nine year old and a bike with a baby carrier?? In other words lots of hills, cars etc? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
K-Rev Posted May 31, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2017 The DT is flat but lots of traffic, we have a new bike "highway" in town but the drivers are still getting use to this. We are a very bike friendly city but I wouldn't ride DT, just too much traffic for me, just my opinion of course. If it were me I'd likely go to Beacon Hill Park, (that would be good for biking) they have a great petting zoo with baby goats, always a fun time.
