Obstructed view balcony on Britannia

There is a section on the P&O website which shows photos of each cabin regarding obstructed views. It does not yet include Britannia but gives a general idea of what types of problem you might be given. In addition a paper brochure will often show which cabins are between front and back of lifeboats as opposed to slap bang in the middle.

Once you understand that Britannia has a couple of sisters Royal Princess and Regal Princess which are identical in many respects, particularly about the cabins layout and numbering you should be able to get a better idea by looking at this website. Scrolling down the page gives you a detailed general view with numbering split into four sections and scrolling further down give each cabin view where a kindly contributor has sent in a photo.

I am sure looking at these sites will put you ahead of the game as regards people just trusting in a travel agent.

G417 on Britannia will be same deck (deck 8) as on Royal Princess (deck 8) but Princess call it E or Emerald deck because P&O have lettered all the decks A to G and Princess have called the two upper decks Marina and Riviera then A to E for the remaining five of the same seven decks. G417 will be E417 on Royal or Regal Princess and the Princess site agrees with the "no obstuctions" assessment.

Hope these help. Thought I'd got a few more but hopefully you will get an idea from these. The only draw back is that pax sitting outside Costa can look up to your balcony but we didn't have a problem with that as that can happen on many ships ie D deck to C deck on Azura and Ventura
