I want to watch the Oasis come in the night before our cruise...What hotel in Ft Lauderdale will be best for that?

The Hyatt Pier 66, be sure to ask for a bay view room on an upper floor. They have a very large balcony with large glass doors.

I agree - we stayed at the Hyatt Pier 66 and it was fabulous. Here is a photo taken from the tower part.
