How much weight do you think you're saving?
Why not just not have breakfast that day? Probably save you the same

Giovanni's Table is $15 pp for lunch and should be open as should Izumi which is a la carte and not expensive for lunch. It is mostly sushi at lunch, tho'. Seems I remember most items in the $6-7 range. Miso soup and edamame (sp) are included. We never have a problem getting a seat at the WJ, but we are usually on board no later than noon.
Are you the one dajbman is talking about then??

Most of the room service delivery staff are there as a voluntary choice, tipping is not required but greatly appreciated. happy cruising
The only tip I gave my delivery person was 'a little more butter next time, kid'.
-
No, it's not. I'm a cruise TA. Maybe we do it differently in Australia...
This is incorrect

I thought you knew that Royal requires people to walk counter clockwise around the ship.
I've only have a right leg (Vietnam. Don't want to talk about it), so counter-clockwise is the only direction I can walk.
Thanks!

Welcome back!
Thanks. But it's not the answer.
-
What was your favourite direction for walking around the ship?

I'm a big fan of Johnny Rocket's butter. It's something else.
No, it really is something else.

Everyone should just book the cheapest 4 nighters on Majesty with insurance and not sail. Book it solo so you get double points. 10 of those and you are diamond
That's fine if your main aim is to become a diamond member, which it appears yours is.

Politely!
They are only doing their jobs and if your choice is to not hear about the products, they will smile and continue on.
NO NEED TO BE RUDE OR DEMEANING.
My wife likes the technique, 'The few items you try to sell me, the better the tip and the end of the massage' Always delivered with a big smile.
You don't have to add anything. Not one person mentioned being anything other than polite.
You're the only one that mentioned a tacky tipping technique though.

The one thing I love about Brilliance is the elevators. Great elevators.

Just tell them "do you know who I am??"

Why not offer to adopt one of them?
You could take them home, dress them up in little outfits and show them off to the neighbours.
-
Thanks Guys!
I like the idea of tipping personally rather than into a bank account of the cruise company just for my piece of mind.
Thanks :)

Good tip: tell everyone you'll leave a massive tip on the last night, then on the last night come down with a stomach bug or something. Make a sharp exit in the morning, and you've saved a few bucks!

wow.....just wow....
So the random, screeching noise from a kid is ok, but a tune from a guitar isn't?
Please explain that logic to me.
Don't tell me. You cruise with your kids. So transparent.
-
I think the person who posted the idea about bringing the guitar and plugging it into headphones is a great idea.
I don't want to hear a guitar while i'm on my balcony, either. I'm sure your husband is a wonderful player, and i'm sure you both have excellent manners and wouldn't dream of playing it where it could be heard by others. Enjoy your trip!
What if your neighbour enjoys hearing it? Should they suffer because you're intolerant of others?
-
There's some really horrible, ugly people on here.
The problem with that is that they don't know I'm referring to them; they think it's everybody else.
-
because you may end up disturbing others while doing so. and quite frequently people DO Need schooling on manners and what is and is not appropriate behavior.
sure he may be a decent player of classical guitar. but that doesn't mean others enjoying their balconies want to hear him play. or the family with the infant in the cabin next to you who desperately needs a nap but is disturbed by the noise, however pleasant.
Instruments are not banned but neither are they particularly welcome or encouraged.
At least a guitar can be put back in its box. What happens to the infant when its disturbing my peace?

The tablecloths....Seriously?

I wasn't expecting to not pay for our drink pkg. It would be nice if somehow we could use our previous cups and have RCCL scan it somehow so we're not having to collect so many cups. Using them for the lemonade is a great idea. Thanks!
Bizarre logic.
But I suppose some people would use any excuse if it helped them get a freebie.

I was just thinking, not even 30 minutes ago, that what CC needs was a thread that 'clears up' this whole Starbucks is it / isn't it controversy.
