  1. Just heard 2100 now as their new departure time. Wow....we will get to see her leave in the dark.

    :D

  2. BTW, I'm glad my husband isn't home tonight! He already thinks I'm crazy for sitting and watching the ships sail away. If he knew I was sitting here for hours waiting for a delayed ship he would probably have me committed!

You definitely aren't the only one! It's 23.20 here in England and I'm waiting to see it leave too!

  3. On our first cruise on the Allure in 2012, we misjudged how much cash we would need. We went to an ATM in St Thomas (it was our first port - Nassau was put back to day 6) and just took some out there and then. We used the higher denomination of notes/bills to pay for souvenirs/drinks etc and used the change and/or smaller notes/bills back on ships when giving out tips at the end of our cruise.

  4. Hi all,

I am doing an Allure of the Seas back to back in August/September and a few of my party are interested in doing some horse riding similar to that offered by Royal Caribbean in Falmouth, Jamaica. The only issue is, there is another excursion that all other party members want to do there as well and the timings clash.

My question is, does anyone know of any horse riding excursions for beginners in St Thomas?

    Thanks all!

  7. Hi all,

The only issue is, there is another excursion that all other party members want to do there as well and the timings clash.

My question is, does anyone know of any horse riding excursions for beginners in any of the other ports? We are docking in:

    Cozumel, Mexico

Labadee, Haiti (Probably won't be available here as have checked Royal Caribbean site and Labadee is a Royal Caribbean island)

    St Martin

    St Thomas

    Nassau, Bahamas

    Ft Lauderdale, Florida

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

  8. The lamb was absolutely fantastic!!! I think I had it twice. There was a chocolate dessert that was available every day that was very rich and I couldn't get through it (which never happens!) but there wasn't a single menu option that I chose that I wouldn't have again!

  9. I would like more info on the Bamboo Beach Club as well! The RCI website is very vague as to exactly what you get for the money you pay. Any help on this would be much appreciated!

  10. This is a tough one to predict, because sometime in the spring/early summer, Ken will be moving over to prep for Quantum.

For the past several years, the regular pattern been 4 months on Allure for Ken followed by 2 months on for Allan.

It remains to be seen how the pattern will be changing once Ken leaves Allure's rotation. Will someone else simply take over Ken's 4 months slot? Or, will Allan take over the 4 month contract, and someone else fill in for the 2 month break? Or, will Allan also be moving, and a new duo will be taking over this rotation?

If Allan's part of this rotation stays the same, then he would be scheduled to start a contract around mid to late August.

    Thanks for your help :)

  11. This happened to us on the Allure week commencing 16th September 2012.

We had been on board only a number hours and barely left Ft Lauderdale when there were ship announcements looking for the missing passenger. During the night there was an in-cabin announcement saying they were now searching for her. The woman had fell overboard but we didn't find this out until the morning after. Guests woke up and realised that they weren't in Nassau as per the itinerary. Over breakfast there was an announcement to say that the woman had been searched for and as a result we were behind schedule and so we went straight to St Thomas. (We stopped at Nassau on the way back.) At the time, we presumed that the in cabin announcements were generally quite common.
