Maui Mary is at sea and having posting issues. She'll try to post when she arrives to the Azores.
Please stay tuned, she's almost to the Azores. I'm her friend and she requested that I post.

We just returned and had done William's Tours (As for Rooster to be your guide). He used to be in a musical group and would sing us songs and take us to great locations, as well as a great history of the island. I've been to Barbados a few times. This is my favorite tour so far. Here is (mostly photos) of our day.http://oslertravel.blogspot.com/2018/03/barbados.html

We are doing the OSJ Food and Walking Tour. We are doing the afternoon (4:00) one with Spoon Food Tours. It’s a bit different than the one above, but both get fabulous reviews.

I'd be interested in hearing what you do and taste. Lots of options in Puerto Rico!

We just spent 2 days pre cruiseand 1 day post exploring Puerto Rico. Friday after we flew in I scheduled a 5pm Food tour in Old San juan. I have written that down here: http://oslertravel.blogspot.com/2018/03/old-san-juan-food-tour-and-shopping.html
Day 2 we walked around and shopped, hung out at the pool at the Stellaris Marriott and post cruise we toured with Atebey Tours. I'll get those on the blog and update here shortly. The island is open for business!

My husband and I are wanting to do this tour but they have a 4 person minimum. Anyone in SJU next weekend and want to join us? We are staying at the Marriott Stellaris. Email oslerfamily@gmail.com.
Thanks!

I was terrified (I was the 2nd Karen that didn't move). But here is the Skywalk video. I'd do it again! I hope this link works for you! Karen

Thank you. That was helpful!

I've been watching videos about the train ride and the scenery is not what I expected (more pastures and rolling hills). I've done train ride in Skagway Alaska and thought this would be similar. Am I watching the wrong footage ? What is the attraction with the train? There must be something to it if both cruise lines are buying it up, right?
Thanks- Karen

Thanks Bruce. I need my head patted. There are 2 other ANZ flights behind us too if we get delayed. Feeling a bit "Karenoid". I just don't know this airport well & my other option is moving up the flight , arriving at 11am. I will relax now. Thank you.

We are in a similar situation. We get off a domestic delta flight at 430p- but have to collect our bags and check in to Air New Zealand 2 hours before our flight (745p). I thought I had plenty of time but forgot about the 2 hour check in. I'm nervous we won't make it. Any suggestions? Google maps says it's a 21 min. walk from Delta in International terminal.
Thanks! Karen

We actually just upgraded to the Premium package just ahead of this announcement because we enjoyed the Molecular Bar. Unique concoctions- lava salts and dry ice. It was amusing. I found the martini bar crowded and loud - maybe this will help spread the crowd out a bit. I just flat out love cruising and will probably be happy with whatever they come up with . (Although I'm not sure I'd ever upgrade again.). Maybe it's a "Karen" thing- liking the molecular bar.

I'm practicing on the treadmill at a steep incline! If I can get 2 slides down I'll be good! lol

It is offered via the cruise ship - so I think we'd be okay. I'm just wondering how physically challenging it is?
Thanks!

We see sand boarding as an option there....would you recommend it?

Our favorite spot for watching the zip liners come down is at the elevated (breezy) Dragon's Breath bar (not sure that's the name). No one is even aware it's there. Last time I was there , waiting for my husband to come down the zipline. I sat and talked to the bartender (from the ship) and he pulled out his lap top and showed me pictures of his homeland, Lima Peru and told me of his dream to be a travel agent there. (That is how empty the place is! 1 other couple came during that hour and a half....but sh! Don't tell about my secret spot.) Head out towards Dragon's breath point (also worth seeing) and you'll come upon the bar.
Here are some photos- Enjoy our favorite island!
