  1. We added the beverage package on our B2B for the Pacific Northwest and the California Costal in September 2020 for 50$ pp per segment. Thought it was very worthwhile!
  2. Can’t wait! Thank you soooo much!
  3. Gimer thank you so much for your efforts to get us up to speed! After looking at some weather stats, we think we will do the fall B2B, as the weather seems a little warmer. That cruise however is on the Star Princess. Same itinerary, different ship. Can’t thank you enough for your insights! I think we will love this cruise! Have you an experience with Star Princess? Thanks so much for your time!
  4. Thanks Gimer! Great to hear! We live in SW Florida, so the entire itinerary is new to us. How was the ship by the way? We are closing in on a decision, but a few questions remain. How is the weather in the spring as opposed to early fall? The cruise is available both seasons next year and wondering if one time better than the other, or doesn’t it matter? Thanks again to all of you!
  5. My wife and I are looking at a back to back out of San Francisco in March of 2020. One week is to the north and the other is to the south. Just curious about folks thoughts about the Grand Princess and the itinerary going to Vancouver, Oregon and then to So Cal. Thanks for your thoughts.
  6. Do you recall the name of the hotel where you stayed? Thanks
  7. Thank you RoyalVisit that is very helpful. I checked the website and it looks very nice! Thanks again.
  8. Thanks so much! I will post to the Italy board.
  9. Hi thanks for your help. I asked the PCC regarding pricing and not much else. It was my intention to start a thread on here. So far there has been great suggestions, including yours. We really appreciate your ideas!
  10. Good Morning folks. My wife and I are seasoned cruisers but we have always sailed from Miami or Ft Lauderdale. We have not ventured to Europe and are looking at a cruise leaving Venice on June 15th and terminating in Rome on June 27, 2020. Frankly, we are a bit overwhelmed but love the itinerary. What we are concerned about is getting from place to place pre and post cruise. We want to spend two nights in Venice pre cruise and two nights in Rome post cruise, but we don’t really understand the process. We have contacted our HAL PCC but I am waiting on a response. Is it worthwhile to book pre and post stays on my own, or go through HAL? Same question regarding airfare? We just don’t know the ins and outs of getting this all together. I’m sure some of you folks may have some helpful advice. Thank you very much!
  11. We drop our bags in the room and go get a burger, fries and a Grolsch beer. Being doing that for a long time!
  12. The price is pretty step, but it may hold future marketing ideas. How about: choose between a signature beverage package or a cruise long pass to the Orange Club. The Orange Club basically costs HAL nothing, so it it is very lucrative to them. Just saying....
  13. Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and wishes. We are optimistic she will rebound because she is getting wonderful care at her facility. Thanks again for your thoughtful wishes!
  14. Our credit card pays up to 3k per covered traveler. In this case, myself and my wife are the covered travelers. Not really sure we will get it all, but half a loaf is better than none as they say. We live in south Florida so we did not need to fly, so no airline issues or cancellations
  15. That’s a good point, did not think of that situation. I will say, this is her first hospitalization in over forty years and was taken from the hospital to a nursing home in the last week or so.
