  1. Hey folks,

I have a couple of follow up questions.  I emailed Native Choice but did not get a response.

    1.  Were you able to pay the balance due via credit card?  Their website says cash only but I have seen other reviews that said they were able to pay it with credit card at the office.

    2.  I know tipping is always a difficult topic but I am just wondering how that works in a scenario like this - I am guessing there is a guide and a driver (are there others during the ruins visit?) also, what about the lagoon? drink servers, attendants, etc.  I just would like to be prepared since I am the one that has organized this for our family I would like to be prepared.

    3. What about getting to the office?  I imagine some of us will walk and some will go with the family member that has some knee issues. If any of you have taken a taxi - what was the fare to get to the office?

All of your help is appreciated - 21 days until our cruise!!!

  2. Hello,

For those of you that have done this tour, I see on the website that it is designated as moderate activity. We have one person with us that is having some knee issues. If we arrange for taxi from the port to their offices, is the tour itself strenuous? He is really interested in going, we just are concerned that it may be too much. Any first hand experience is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!!

  3. I bought the short red one online from David's Bridal but it didn't quite fit so I went to the store to see if the next size would fit. It did! But they didn't have the red so I returned the one I bought and ordered the next size up. While I was in the store I tried on the long blue one and really liked it so bought that for the second formal night. Now I am waiting on some sparkly shoes I ordered that I hope will go with both!

It seems the consensus is that I should leave the blue one long so I'll wait and see once I get the shoes.

Love all the other dresses - can't wait to see all the pretty outfits on the cruise!

  4. Hello Everyone! We are leaving in less than 40 days and I finally decided upon my 2 formal dresses. It has been such great fun lurking here and checking out all of the pretty dresses. I have recently lost 40+ lbs so for the first time it was also fun trying on and buying dresses as in the past it was something I hated to do. For now, these are the pics from the websites but will try to get pics of myself in them although they need a bit of altering.

Question on the blue one - I am thinking of shortening it to tea-length if it is even still called that. What do you all think?

  5. Hi Everyone,

WI today and lost 1 1/2 lbs. which brings me to 45 lbs lost since I started - I am soooo excited! We all have our good weeks and our "needs work" weeks and thankfully this is a good one.

I use skinny taste .com (squished together of course) and she has a lot of great recipes. One other thing I found online was to freeze bananas - which I won't eat once they get brown - and then puree them in the food processor which is kind of like ice cream with some fat free choc. sauce is fabulous and almost free pts - that helps me with those night time munchies.

Question for you all - we leave mid-October for our cruise to Hawaii but all winter clothes will be out. Should I just buy things at my size now? or maybe one more down? since I don't have much that fits but didn't want to spend a lot of money as I still have quite a bit more to lose. Whaddya think?

Hope everyone has a great week and a fun-filled Labor Day weekend!

  6. Had my weigh-in this AM and am down 2 lbs! Yay!!! However, I have a week of birthday parties and other events this week so am really going to have to do some planning to try to stick to my points. I am so happy to break that plateau though - past 3 weeks had remained the same. Great job to all the other "losers" this week!!

  7. Hi Everyone,

I was checking in on this thread pretty regularly a while back but then wasn't as active for a bit. But now, my cruise leaves 10/22 so I have been back on CC more often.

I started WW back in Feb and have lost 41 lbs. I still have quite a ways to go but seem to have hit a bit of a plateau and stayed the same or only 1/2 lb loss for the past month or so. I know it is because my husband and I have not been as good about tracking on weekends as we should because we've been doing some camping. But now, with cruise in sight, I am hoping it gives me some motivation to stay on track.

Other issue is that I have been diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis (no clue on actual spelling) which has impacted my daily walking for the time being so I don't have those extra activity points. I need to look for some other ways to get those points in.

Anyway, just wanted to say Hello! to all the others on our WW journey and looking forward to cruising.

    Linda

  8. Great job Keystonemama and Just4kixx!!!

I am hoping for similar results as I have a girls' night at my fave Mexican restaurant this week. This will be my first meal out since starting WW and then next week I have to travel for work so that is every day/all meals out for a full week. Going to need major willpower and will track points as best I can.

  9. Hi Everyone,

I just started WW this week - my first weigh-in is on Friday! We are cruising to Hawaii in October and although I am not losing specifically for the cruise it sure would be nice to be a size (or three) smaller by then.

I'll try to catch up on the recent posts to this thread as I find the message boards on the WW website very difficult to use.

  10. We returned from Alaska beginning of June. We were booked through Princess at the Bear Lodge. That was the first hotel for our land tour and we were not at all impressed. Began wondering what we got ourselves into but everything improved from that point forward. Room was clean but that was about it. We were not impressed with the restaurants and had an issue with the front desk relating to a problem with our luggage. Others we spoke to were much happier with the Riverside so I would definately consider it an upgrade.
