  1. In Nassau as mentioned before there is a beach and shopping area within walking distance of the port and it is easy to find. When we were there last year we decided to take a tour with a registered guide. When finished we eventually ended up at the beach area as mentioned (he dropped us off there at our request). The tour was fantastic and went to areas that other tours were unable to access....very informative and worth the $$. The beach started to get very crowded due to the amount of cruise ships in port that day, they really packed everyone in there. Overall, great tour and we still had a great time on the beach.

  2. We have been to Belize a couple of times. We've done the small island/key excurisions through Carnival and they were very nice. We have also done the cave tubing through a private company. Although Carnival offered their version of the same, the private company provided us with a much longer and involved experience (more on-water time), carried the tubes for us, and even stopped at an area where the kids (and myself!) could jump off of the rocks into the water. They even provided a small meal at the end. Very good experience.

  3. Due to weather we had two excursions canceled a few weeks ago. As was said earlier, when you check your portfolio balance, it will show a -negative amount, indicating you have a credit. You can opt to have a the amount sent to you via mail in the form of a check or just go to customer service and they will refund the money to you in cash right there.

  4. +1 on the posts above. We didnt know about it on our first cruise. Now we get it on every cruise. As stated above, peace of mind. Usually it works out very well for us! It's always the first thing I look to purchase after booking a cruise now. Enjoy!
