This is our 4th RCCL cruise but the first time we got a boarding schedule. Princess has been doing this for sometime but because of our loyalty level we are not effected. I don't think princess turns early arrival away either. Thank you for the info.

We got an email from RCCL today with a staggered boarding schedule. We were planning on arriving around noon, but the staggered boarding is 2pm. Is this something new and is it followed?

My daughter and her husband booked two adjoining cabins on deck 8 promenade last summer and it was great. The cost was only 150 more for 2 cabins vs having a quad.

I ordered the Clorox hand sanitizer and wipes on Amazon. They are not the grocery store wipes but specifically targets noro as well as the other germs. They are a bit pricier but well worth it. The hand spray sent drying which is vague plus.

We sail RCCL and Princess and find them comparable in most ways. However, Princess wins as my fav by a bit. Princess has been offering some outstanding rates lately and RCCL has had some very tempting last minute deals.

I have used my credit card to book twice with no problems. I have also used the card at the resort to pay my balance with no problem.

We went to Nachi last July and loved it. We are going back in nov. be sure to make reservations as they only take 100 people a day. There were no beach vendors when we were there.

I agree. Maybe a reminder on the last day. On our last cruise I stopped to tell one of the hosts how wonderful our waiter had been all week and that I intended to fill a WoW out on him. She immediately wrote her name down and said, "don't forget me". I think I spoke with her once the first day to get our table #.....Nothing special. I thought that was very strange.

We did the all inclusive there in July and loved it. Food was awesome and drinks were great. It is quiet and relaxing. I agree to watch your time as the day goes by so quickly. It is about 15 minutes from the ship. We are going back in November and will get there as soon as we can. If you want a spring break party scene than Nachi isn't the place. It is fun but very laid back and relaxing.

Has anyone tried Azumi for lunch or dinner? The reservation site for RCCL shows the cost as $0 but the reservation rep said it was menu pricing. I don't know whether to book it or not as the cost is unknown.

We saw a young Elvis impersonator a few years ago that was great. On the same cruise there was an older man with grey hair that played the piano and sang. Both were headliners. I don't remember their names.

We didnt like it at all. Total waste.

Any Royal Caribbean / Navigator secrets or tips about the kids program?

I am going to call today i thought that was weird but both costcoTA and rccl told me the same thing. it is especially imperative as my daughter has an adjoining room with her kids.

i bought a small tower fan at Walmart for 19.99. it fits perfectly in the corner of my suitcase. The fan also oscillates.. The airflow in the room makes a huge difference.

How does RCL handle upgrades being given? We typically sail Princess and we always say no upgrade as we pick an ideal cabin location for us when booking. Our TA and an Rccl rep said they don't have the option of saying no upgrade. Do they call first? How does this work?

DH and I sailed the CB twice this season..... november and march. We enjoyed the cruise both times. The food and entertainment were a bit better in march. However, we both got very sick 2 days after returning home with a horrible upper respitory infection. People were hacking away all over the ship. Maybe they should be as vigilant about URI as they are noro.

I think a lot of people on the Texas itinerary cruise more for the ship than the ports, as most cruise out of Texas for convenience and have visited the same ports many times. In that case it is important to keep the entertainment and food choices fresh. I am so sick of the western itinerary but love the cruise experience...and not flying into a port.

OP dont give up on Princess. Sorry you had a bad week. I hope you let customer service know about your experience on the survey. Positive as well as negative experience on critiques are needed for the ability to constantly improve.

We are booked on a cruise this summer with one of the stops being Roatan. We are wondering if RCCL will follow NCL and cancel this stop in light of the violence. Any thought? It would not break my heart if they opted for a different stop.

How many pax still on board?

I agree they should have held off an offer if they weren't going to honor it. I would be very very upset if something that was delivered to me was removed from my cabin. I hope the letters are still there.
