  1. This is one example of how you can get two different answers from two different people to the same question. Last fall, I was on the conquest, booked early saver, and submitted for a price drop under a guarantee rate. I called my PVP when the price dropped again, and she spoke to a supervisor and said This is the last time you can get a price drop. Well, guess what, the price dropped again so I just called directly to the 800 number and they approved my price drop. I ended up with an OV cabin for $299 that cruise. That was October 2014. Fun Cruise too!

Thanks for the example. Eases my mind.

  2. Awesome responses everyone!

LidoDeckLarry - how do you "plan" in order to not have to purchase the FTTF? Care to share? ;)

I am not the OP on that statement, but I think they meant things like - go to boarding after 1pm and you breeze right through and your room is already ready. If you need guest services, just go at an off time when everyone else won't be there, etc. That is what we do.

  3. Booked a RCL 3 night cruise on Enchanment of the Seas today. It will be my 10th cruise, but it has been awhile since I have been on RCL and was trying to find some info but having trouble - could someone answer these for me, I am sure they are easy for people who cruise more often.

I am a Gold member. Will I be invited to a past guest party on a 3 day cruise?

Can the unlimited drink packages be purchased on a 3 day cruise?

Is there a "limit" to the unlimited package? (It is 15 per day on Carnival, which is why I ask)

What coupons are currently being given to gold members?

  4. I am so disappointed right now. My Alaska cruise leaves on 5/18, so I am missing the party by 3 days! I was so looking forward to it. It is actually the first time my husband qualifies for the party :(. I am so disappointed by Carnival right now. The other changes weren't making me consider other lines, but this one is. I really enjoyed the parties. Royal Caribbean does a lot more to reward loyalty.

  5. We booked our May 2015 cruise the day it was released at about noon, and most of the aft cabins were already full. By the end of the week, there were no aft cabins left. The best ones are taken early, and then the cruise line discounts the rest.

  6. I was pretty annoyed with my own family and wait staff once on RC. We had 20 people at two tables. I was assigned to the table with distant cousins my own age (four of whom I had never even met), while my mother and sister (who it was their first cruise and I had talked them into going on this one), as well as my grandparents sat at the other table. I mentioned this to my grandmother, who said to just switch tables the next night, everyone can sit wherever. Well, my mother, sister, DH and I sat at her table together the next night. The waiter came up and said I sat at the wrong table and I had to move. I was surprised he said that, and I told him no. Some other family members were all ruffled about it too, which surprised me. I was pretty annoyed with the person who did the table seatings for that one.
