The pasta bar should be open. It should be considerably less crowded than the buffet areas.
Yes, pasta bar, deli, pizza and Tandor were all open. But, not the MDR.

Hello,
I will be taking my first 7 day cruise in January on the Dream. How many elegant/formal nights are there? Also what days do they fall on?
Looking to renew my wedding vows and I want to determine what nights would be formal nights.
Thanks
Formal nights were Monday (first sea day) and Friday (Cozumel day)

How was staggered check in and how does it affect embarkation? Did you enjoy the American Table Menu? Did you have YTD and if so was there any significant wait? How many in your party? What ports did you sail into and what order?
Staggered check in seemed to work well, but since we were Platinum, we were the first group, so I couldn't tell much from the staggered check in lines.
YES, the American table menu seemed pretty much like the older ones. Just a few things not offered anymore, and a few new things, but the MDR food was EXCELLENT!!
There were 4 of us sailing together.
We visited Honduras, Belize and then Cozumel.

Anyone know why my Dream slot tournament post was deleted?

Lunch available on Embarkation Day in dining room?
What movies were playing?
Any entertainment you particularly recommend?
No dining room lunch on Embarkation day.
Dive-in movies on Lido deck: "Kung Fu Panda 3", "Zootopia", "Deadpool", "Avengers-Age of Ultron", "Jurassic World", "Star Wars-the Force Awakens", "Spectre", "Cinderella", "Pitch Perfect 2", "The Intern", "Daddy's Home"
Absolutely MUST HEAR the Blackjack band in the Ocean Plaza midship!!!! The best entertainment band I've heard on all 18 of my cruises!!

Any ports cut short, or has the problem been fixed?
No ports were cut short. What problems??
-
Any menus from the MDR
No pictures of the menus but we ate in the MDR everynight and I should be able to answer any questions you have.
-
Any Dream questions?

We leave Sunday on the Carnival Dream. Is the $5 a day social media package available on this ship? I need to have a way for my kids to contact me in case of emergency back home. This is much cheaper than an international texting plan or the e-mailing package. Do I use this social media package through the Carnival Hub app? Or, do I just click on the "facebook" icon on my phone desktop? I'm a little confused on how it works on a ship.
-
Yes, you can still check in at anytime. Look for the priority line (which is Platinum, Diamond, Suite, FTTF).
Thank you! We leave this Sunday :)

I've not cruised out of New Orleans with the staggered check in times. We are Platinum but we still had to choose a check in time. We chose 10:30am but since we're Platinum, can we still check in at anytime?

Does anyone know about Marian Mihaila, the current Dream casino host? Is she friendly and how does she treat Platinum members who play in the casino a lot? Thanks for any information you can provide.

Thanks for all the helpful information! Also, does anyone know the Platinum gift on the Dream?

We leave on June 5th on the Carnival Dream for a 7 day cruise. Since it's been over a year since our last cruise, I've heard some information that I would like clarification on. First, is escargot still served in the MDR? Second, is lobster still served in the MDR? Next, have there been a decrease of the "Las Vegas" type shows every evening? Last, is there a limit on the number of dishes you can order in the MDR? Thanks so much for helping me out. I "searched" for these topics and couldn't find anything specific to the Dream.

Check out post #9 of this thread. I posted a link to my photos of 4237 on the Spirit - but it will be the same on the Legend. The cabin is 3 rooms - a living area with sofa, chair tv, a bedroom with another tv and a dress area/bathroom area with a large walk in closet. Enjoy! :)
hmmmm, I can't get your pictures.....

Wow, thanks for all the helpful information so far! You guys are the BEST! We've tentatively booked the Carnival Legend Alaskan cruise, aft wrap #4237 because of your recommendations of the Spirit Class wraps. Does anyone have any recent pics of this cabin? I did a search on here, but can't find any. Is this cabin a small room like other aft wraps or is the room bigger?

Any pics of Spirit class, deck 4 aft wraps? Spirit class ships are Pride, Legend, Miracle and Spirit(Sunshine)??

We're planning our 30th anniversary cruise next year! We definitely want those popular-sought-after HUGE aft balconies/suites. We've been in the aft wrap on the Conquest. In your opinion, what is the BEST aft wrap (we prefer the completely overhead covered balconies) and suite? I've seen some great aft wrap balconies, but the rooms are incredibly small. Then there are the aft wraps on the Legend, and the room is a 3 room suite with a huge walk in closet. However, we'd have to take an Alaskan cruise to said on the Legend and we prefer the warmer weather cruises. Any ideas/suggestions/pictures? Thanks!

We just booked cabin 4237 for June, 2016!! :)

The Carnival Legend has 2 different cruises out of Seattle, Washington. They both sail to Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan and Victoria, BC. However, one of the cruises "cruise glacier bay" and the other one "cruise Tracy Arm Fjord". Which one is the better one and the pros/cons of one versus the other. Thanks CC friends!

I've been watching the Freedom webcam and was wondering if anyone knows why it hasn't left yet? Thanks

After 18 cruises, we did no excursions this time. I was hearing from the onboard staff that they THINK drydock is in January or early February.
