Did you use the website or the app?  We are 80 days out and received our muster station D04 but not our deck or cabin number.

When our edocs were ready (around the 45 day mark) I immediately looked and saw the deck number.   From reading other posters it was mentioned that cabin numbers are usually are posted around the thirty day mark.  I received an email from RC at exactly thirty days that I had new Guest Vacation documents and thats when I saw our cabin number.

  2. We are on the Allure in October and we received ours in stages.  First we received our muster station but no deck or cabin number.  When our cruise docs were ready we received our deck number but no cabin number and then at the thirty day mark we finally received our cabin number.

  3. We booked a central park balcony for our October cruise on the Allure back in January and the Drink, Dine, Discover promotion was offered.  When doing a mock booking that perk is no longer listed for the neighborhood balcony cabins.  For those that have recently sailed in a neighborhood balcony please let me know if that perk is still ongoing.  We actually have five cabins booked and would like to let the rest of our party know.  Thanks so much for your guidance.

  4. We booked a neighborhood guaranty balcony on the Allure for an October sailing.  Our online check-in is completed and our set sail pass just has our muster station assigned (E04) but no cabin number as of yet.  I know this has happened to others and I am wondering how can I find out if we have a central park or boardwalk balcony and even a possible deck number.  At this point I am just curious.  Thank you so much for any assistance.

  5. Any idea when the upgrades are processed? I see some upgrades processed around 70 days, others around 45 days and others at 2 days. Also, does anyone know what time of day these are processed? Should I check once in the morning or multiple times during the day to see if the bid was won?

We are traveling with 2 other couples all in the same cabin category on the Bliss to Alaska. We all bid the minimum bid at the 80 day mark. One couple already received an acceptance on their bid this week and are moving on up. Are bids are still pending with 22 days to go before our cruise and there are lots of cabins still available for sale in all categories. Some have suggested that maybe the other couple were a higher latitudes status and that is why their bid was accepted first but that is not the case since we have more NCL cruises under our belt and a higher status. It seems that sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to the bid acceptance process. We are just keeping our fingers crossed that our bid is accepted and if not well we will still have a great time on the cruise.

  6. We are booked on the Bliss Alaska cruise September 8, 2018 along with 2 other couples. We all booked inside cabins to have extra money for excursions (second time to Alaska for us and first time for the other couples). At the 80 day mark we all received emails to bid on upgrades for balcony cabins. We all placed the minimum bid (I think it was 75.00 p.p.) and we really didn’t care either way if we upgraded or not. A few days ago one of the couples received an email that their bid was accepted and they are off to a balcony cabin. Us and the other couple’s bids are still “pending”. I keep checking the website and there are plenty of suites and balconies left that have not been sold. I know it can take up to two days prior to sailing to accept your bid but the suspense is killing me.

  7. On our Dec 14th Sailing on Anthem OTS, it shows on our booking that we are in Cape Canaveral from 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM on Dec 17th. A poster in another thread had left this link to port information @ Cape Canaveral and it is showing that we arrive at 12:00 noon.

Just wanted to ask recent cruisers (this sailing and 1 previous) who were on the Bahamas Itinerary out of NYC what time you actually arrived in Port Canaveral. I am assuming it was early (7am or so) but we are making plans based on an early arrival and just need to triple check to make sure that arrival at the earlier time is not unlikely.

    Thanks!

We are on the same sailing and now curious about the port times. We already booked a van for our group to visit relatives nearby so hopefully what is stated on our cruise documents is correct.

  8. I tried booking on the Dawn for an October cruise and had the same issue. I called NCL to try to take care of it through their system and she didn't understand why she was not able to do it either and told me not to worry about it and have the concierge take care of it when we are on board. I figured it would open up when the 90 day mark came around so everyone had a fair shot at booking but still no go. To date Teppanyaki is still not listed as available to book. I will just keep looking and if not I will take her advice and book on board.

  9. A family suite that sleeps 6 single room 12506

We are booked in that particular suite in October on the Dawn. We have never been in a suite before either. Please post on how you liked and/or disliked that room. Also, does anyone know who the concierge is on the Dawn and if he/she is helpful. We will only use the concierge for dinner reservations but I have read on cc that some go over the top to accommodate you in any way and others just tell you that the venue is full and you are out of luck.

  10. Its a cruise ship, its not like you all need to be in the cabin 24/7 together. As far as showering, you just plan accordingly. We know what time dinner reservations are so my husband and I will go to the room to shower and change and then go to Gatsbys or another bar for a pre-dinner beverage and wait for the rest of the family for dinner. That way not everyone is in the cabin trying to get ready at the same time. I think it would all just be a matter of planning. Its a ship so if you get a little claustrophobic in the cabin you can always go elsewhere for a little while. The only thing that everyone will really be in the cabin together for is to sleep and as long as everyone has a place to put their head down there shouldn't be an issue. We booked an SJ cabin on the Dawn so everyone has the UDP and our two DS have the UBP and we all can experience the suite life. If we book separate cabins (unless they are suites) we all will not be able to take advantage of the current promos that NCL is running. Just an opinion, every family is different and needs to make the best choice that is right for them.

  11. I am not a soda drinker but my husband is and when we sailed the Dawn he was able to purchase the soda package directly from the bar once we where on board. I think when you contact NCL and ask about purchasing the beverage package they automatically think that its the UBP that you are referring to so they give you the information for that package.

  12. If the new rate of $14 daily is in effect on your sailing then the butler is included already. I cashed out all my leftover OBC in the casino for a 3% fee

I believe as discussed in other threads the Butler and Concierge are not included in the tip pool so the new $14.95 DSC does not apply to them and still need to be tipped separately.

  13. Several CC members have talked to NCL and been informed that butlers and concierges will NOT be a part of the pool, despite the misleading wording in the annoucement.

So where does the extra money go? I am a suite guest and eat at the MDR I receive the same service as everyone else, I attend the entertainment at the various venues and see the same shows as everyone else, the laundry is done the same way as everyone else. If the Butler and Concierge are not part of the tip pool then why do we need to pay extra?

  14. Does anyone know the answer to this question? I understand that the new charge is 12.95 pp & 14.95 pp for suite guests. I read that the increase for the suite guests does not go towards the butler and concierge because they are not part of the tip pool, so how come suite guests pay more? I am a suite guest and eat at the MDR and I have the same service as everyone else. I go to the entertainment venues and see the same shows as everyone else. I would understand if the additional costs for the suite guests was for the butler and concierge but I will pay 14.95 pp/ per day and I will also give my butler and concierge their tips separately. Any thoughts?

  15. Yes it does, PCCs are essentially travel agents - mentioning their names here can drive business to them (even if they don't exactly get commission from each booking, their performance does affect their income in the long run at least) and therefore they would have an incentive to generate dummy accounts here to promote themselves as a "satisfied customer".

    Absolutely makes sense.

But that can also back fire on the PCC. Say PCC John Smith creates a "dummy account" and says what a great PCC he is and others that have used John Smith in the past can let others know if he is indeed a good PCC or not.

  16. Its a shame you can't name your PCC if you are happy with them. There are some out there that barely do their job. I know that the folks that are unhappy with their PCC would benefit from hearing who the really good ones are and give them their business.
