  1. We were recently in Grand Cayman (Dec 28th sailing on Victory) and saw that the Hard Rock Cafe on the Main Street is closed... I was kind of surprised because I thought it was such a busy place. Anyone know when it closed?

  2. It worked really slick in Galveston last month. I was able to make a cash deposit at check-in in the terminal. One-stop shopping. Then there was a machine on the Triumph that I could stuff cash into and put it on the card. Zero trips to the customer service desk on board.

This is exactly how it went for us out of Miami dec 28...easy peasy!

  3. About the Kiosks....has anyone ever had problems with them? You feed in 50.00 but it didn't show...can they view you put a 50 into it? Just wondering.

I don't think I would want to add cash on land at check-in. What if they don't add it and here I am sailing away and I don't even know who checked me it.

I know there are a lot of honest ppl in the world but it's the dishonest ones that always seem to find me

When we checked in, we got a receipt with the amount we had deposited on our sail and sign

  4. We used cash on our dec 28 cruise and put it on my account at check in miami. Maybe the reason I was able to do this as others haven't seemed to is that when I did my online check-in, I stated I would set up my sail and sign with cash. When we checked in, the woman verified i wanted to do this, and I made my deposit. Didn't have to go to guest services to deposit.

  5. We'll be on her in two weeks. Just wondering if they had a rock band, like one of the many "Music..." groups. We always look forward to the live music in the lounges and along the Promenade.

There was a band by the casino most nights that the paparazzi didn't take over the promenade. Bobbi was the singers name. There was a band on New Year's Eve on the lido called domino that was good... Every thing from AC/DC to shania twain believe it or not! They guy at the atrium bar, Kevin I think, was kinda, well... Lame. Sorry. Needed handles to carry a tune. Hopefully the poor guy doesn't read this!

  6. You cannot bring cell phones or cameras at all. Two people did and they were confiscated until after the tour. When they say no cameras, they mean no cameras! We were patted down and metal detected before we left. I was carrying a small cross body type purse and I had to open it, and it was checked. It was a really good tour and have you lots of opportunity to ask questions. Don't be shy in asking them

  7. A few year back we were at the muster drill with our life vests on, as required at the time. The woman beside me, who I think had already had a few DOD's, put the attached whistle in her mouth and pretended to blow it! I leaned over and quietly asked her ,"I wonder how many people have done that before you?" By the look on her face, I knew she was a newbie!!
