Thanks for the info Judi. I haven't heard of him.
cbb..great to hear from you. I looked at Dr Dave's pics of your Dec cruise. Looked very scenic! I' m traveling on this cruise with 2 gals I met on fall cruise at Singles meet and greet. They're a lot of fun so we'll have a great 23 day cruise. Go on both the Mexico leg then up to Alaska. Hugs, Francie

Judi666.. thanks for your comments. I'm also boarding on Sat in LA and wondering who is serving as cruise director? Thanks.

You might consider shipping your suitcase directly to the ship avoiding the hassle of the airport and airline. I've used Luggage Free a number of times with great success. Luggage Forward is another one.
I use a soft- side 28 in. TravelPro without having to do laundry for 3 weeks. It fits very nicely under the stateroom bed. Happy Travels!!

Does anyone know the current Cruise Director on Regatta? Will she/he be on for the next few months? Thanks.

Sounds like good cruises ahead!

Great to hear from you. Any trips upcoming? Aloha, Francie

After 14 cruises on O, I have many wonderful memories. The best was sitting on the verandah with my late husband, watching the sea go by. The ocean and passing scenery never fail to amaze. Also have really enjoyed the many wonderful crew members. On our first O cruise in the Baltic, we had waiter Romeo (from Philippines) every night in GDR. We later saw him on 2 cruises, much to our delight. Also much to our delight we later discovered Terrace Grill so not in GDR as much.
I'm looking at repeating my wonderful experiences as a solo on Regatta in Sept.

Also use Travel Guard. We needed to cancel a cruise after final payment for medical reasons and they paid off promptly. As abc1334 said, the older you get the more it costs. The cost of your trip also figures in.

I was responding on a roll call thread and it locked up on me. I had to leave the site and when returned it said " your previous content has been restored. Clear editor" followed by an X. No response to this action, only says page has become unresponsive. Wait or close. No action on any of this.

So sad to hear about Paul's passing. He always provided excellent info to help us with cruise planning. Fair winds and following seas and may his memory be a blessing.

I think Saturday evening is O website maintenance time. Sometimes you can't log in when they are updating stuff.

Thanks for the update. We'll be waiting 30-45 days for more definite info!

Thanks for the info. Any discussion of changes to itinerary for ATW 2022? We're all really curious to see where we're going!

Lyn, yes it was on US Tv among other funny Holiday Inn Express commercials. You gave me a real chuckle!

Looks quite elegant with a bit of glitz! I agree with Orv on the wait and see. Deck plans please. The ambiance might keep folks from wearing jeans in the Grand dining room🤣

John.. thanks for your comments about rough weather. We have done a number of cruises on O and the roughest weather we had was in the Med out of Tunisia. The seas are very unpredictable which makes the whole cruising thing so much fun!!

JK300..did you get much ship motion in rough weather?

The person was on the ship. Just had a different visual than mine.

LHT28.. a verbal description. That's why I was pleased to get the photo from JK300.

Flatbush flyer and JK300..thanks for your great info!! A picture is, as always, worth a thousand words. 7018 looks very good to us!

We are booked in room 7018 on Insignia for the ATW 2022. It has come to my attention that the balcony on 7020, next door, has a solid piece across the balcony with railing on top. Apparently you can't just sit and watch the ocean go by. This arrangement isn't good for us as we spend lots of time on our balcony. We usually travel in the A category and have never run in to this before. Any info would be appreciated!! Thanks.

BenMurphy... Thanks so much for posting "Sea Fever", one of my favorite poems. It very accurately describes my feelings about being on a ship!!

I was also on Sept cruise and have the CD's name my notes as Carson Hunter. I commented that he was good.
