Would like to have some information concerning using a scooter at ports on Alaskan cruises. It is my understanding that NCL does not dock close to stores and shops and you have to ride in a bus to get there. Do they have availability for someone with a scooter? Also what excursions were good for people using a scooter. TIA

I sent one in before our cruise and never received a response. However we did receive the type of table we requested. It was in a great place and right by the window.

Does anyone know if there is a fish place or somewhere I can get fish on the Allure besides the MDR? TIA

I don’t see the same display on my Royal app. Show more times doesn’t show lunch on any of the three dining rooms, except Day 7!
It does show brunch.
But no brunch menus! All I want to know is if I can still get Steak Frites for lunch!
I already know Eggs Benedict is still available for breakfast.
Getting to eat food I didn’t cook is one of my reasons for cruising!
What are the steak frites that are for lunch?

Good to hear positive things about Allure. Unexpectedly planning an April trip now with family who have never cruised. My first time out of Galveston and first time cruising with a toddler … feels like I suddenly have a lot to learn again.
When are you going in April? We are going April 16th. Have never been on one of this size ships.

Like many of us, I was excited to hear that Canada had dropped testing requirements for vaccinated people entering the country. That left only the hurdle of Celebrity's requirement for testing. According to Celebrity, a rapid antigen test could be taken two days or less from boarding the ship.
However, I did not realize that Canada still has in place testing requirements for passengers boarding a cruise ship in Canada or arriving by cruise ship. Either a molecular test must be taken within 72 hours of boarding the ship or a Rapid Antigen Test within one day of boarding.
This causes a problem for me, and probably others, as I have a cruise that departs on Friday. I planned to do a Rapid Antigen Test on Wednesday, fly on Thursday, and board on Friday. I will now have to do a molecular test sometime after noon on Tuesday.
In case anyone else needs to change testing plans for a cruise leaving from a Canadian port, here is the Canadian website:
https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/domestic-travel
I am so confused. According to the cruise rules, a Covid test needs to be taken 2 days or less. However the Canadian site says it must be 1 day or less in order to board the ship. 2 days is great, 1 a little more complicated.

We were able to get over $300 off of our cruise. It's not much but it is at least something.

I have a great TA. I always email her then she can respond when she has time. She normally gets right back to me. I do not want to spend hours on the phone. It is so worth having a TA if you get a good one.

Does anyone know the earliest appointment time for getting one the ship? We are booked on the Ovation in April 2022 and we are trying to figure out if we will have to find something to do after we leave the hotel before we can go to the ship.

That is not correct. I just looked at the cruise planner for an upcoming sailing. The 12-bottle Dasani package is $15+gratuity. When I added it to the cart, it was $11+gratuity (I believe I get a discount because of C&A level) The 24-bottle package was $17+gratuity in the cart (again, I may have a discount).
Weighed against the hassle of bringing water on board, I'm calling that "a few bucks."
I wonder why I can't get it to come up on my Planner. Everything else is there but no water.

In your cruise planner select the beverages tab and look at the bottom. Dasani water package. On our cruise shows $15 plus I assume 18% gratuity.
Thank you but mine doesn't have it there. Can't find it anywhere.

I keep looking but am unable to find where I can order the water on the ship. Can someone tell me how to find it? TIA

Hubby and I are looking into booking a Hawaii cruise. We have had a few balconies, but usually book inside cabins. We did a balcony for Alaska, but I didn't know if Hawaii is a location where a balcony is a must-have.
We are going Apr. 25, 2022. We booked a balcony because I feel like there will be lots to see. Can't wait!

When we used Falstaff we were really happy with them. As soon as we got there we got in the shuttle and they took us to the terminal and we were the only passengers. When we disembarked, we were the only passengers then and they took us right away to the parking garage. I was really surprised they did that but was glad they did.

I saw on one deck plan that it said that space was the IMAX. I don't know if that is right or not but that is what it said.

Can you tell me how far the walk is from the ship to the place where you are picked up? I have trouble walking very far and need to know if it is very far. It sounds pretty far by the info they sent to me. Thank you!

I believe that the parking garage that is attached to the walk over connected to the Carnival terminal has hourly parking. I can't remember the name of it but it is one of the port parking garages.

Ship - Vision of the Seas
Deck - 8
Stateroom # - 8002
Stateroom Category – Owners Suite
Starboard or Port Side - Port
Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – It was fairly quiet. We did hear some noise from above at times because the Lido was just above us. We did have a sound machine which helped cut out most of the noise.
Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No
Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Great view. No obstructions. Large balcony with 2 lounge chairs and 2 small tables.
Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized
Was wind a problem? - It wasn't bad. We were at almost the very front of the ship but we didn't feel any more movement than in any other part of the ship.
If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A
Any specific problems with this cabin? - We had some rocky days at sea and it caused the bathroom door to swing back and forth. We used a chair to stop that.
Any other comments? - It was a very large cabin and very comfortable. The door was wide enough for my wheelchair to get through. I had always been advised to not get a cabin at the front of the ship. However it was not a problem at all for us.

We agree with you. We just used them last week and we were really happy with them. They are in a good location and the employees are very friendly.
When we got off the ship, there was only 2 of us but they still took us immediately back to the parking garage. We thought we would have to wait for others before we could leave. It was the best place we have used.

If you want indoor parking, Falstaff seems nice. We are using them next month. They are rather new but have really good reviews. They also cost less than most indoor places.
Have a great cruise!

Thank you for the info but will they allow scooters on those vehicles?
