June 20 or 21; Flying in from MSY on Jetblue

Is 11:30 AM flight doable for return home flight from Montreal airport if ship disembarking is at 7:00 AM?

Looking for hotel recommendations for 2 night pre New England cruise. Seems like hotels are quite expensive. Would probably prefer near cruise terminal or Faneuil hall area.

Does the Dawn have a Great Oudoors like the Pearl?
-
Is 2 table dining table available in MDR if you are assigned a traditional dining time? We have never cruised on Celebrity & are looking at the Equinox for a Caribbean cruise.
-
One of the top 3 excursions we have done in our 2 Alaska cruises. Highly recommend. George Inlet Lodge does an excellent job. Our boat captain fed the eagles that swooped down right next to the boat & the Dungeness crab is delicious.

Planning on touring Kenai after our cruise. Due to time restraints we will only have 3-4 days. We realize we won’t be able to tour both Seward & Homer. Would like advice of cruisers who have been both places to help us decide. My wife suffers from sea sickness so the 6 hour tour from Seward is not feasible so we would have to stick to Resurrection Ba tour. In Homer we would take a cruise across the bay to Seldovia. Any advice is appreciated.

NCL Jewel sails from Vancouver to Seward or vice versa. Great itinerary that includes Glacier Bay & Hubbard Glacier. Did this itinerary 2 years ago & loved it. Jewel is mid sized ship & just recently was refurbished.

Does anybody have any idea when NCL will let it be known who or what will be the headline entertainment act on the Joy when it sails Alaska next year?
-
Thanks for the information

Considering doing a B2B on the Jewel next May for Alaska. Would like information on the process from those who have done this. Will be keeping the same room for both cruises.

I recommend NCL northbound from Vancouver to Seward that includes Glacier Bay & Hubbard Glacier. After disembarking in Seward rent a car in Anchorage & do a DIY land tour that includes Denali.

Been on 2 Alaska cruises & Wilderness Explorer & Crab Feast is in our top 3 excursions. Hard to beat all you can eat Dungeness crab. Eagles swoop down within 10-20 feet from this small boat you are in. Had fewer than 20 people on our boat.

Totally agree. This is one our top 3 excursions in our 2 cruises to Alaska.

Alaska Wildlife Consevation Center outside of Portage & Alyeska Mountain, & tour to Eielson Center in Denali were highlights. The beautiful scenery & clean, refreshing air throughout Alaska is a highlight in itself. We are planning a return trip, our third, in May 2019. This time we will cruise to Seward & rent a car & concentrate our touring to the Kenai all the way to Homer. Let me know if you need any more information. Rent your car early to get low rates. I think I rented in December for our May trip.

In 2016 we were in the planning phase like you & we chose NCL northbound to Seward. Instead of cruise tour we rented a car in Anchorage & drove to Denali on our own. I was hesitant to do this but it was so easy driving & we stopped when & where we wanted to. We did Denali to Eielson Center. We also drove back to Girdwood & stayed at Alyeska Resort. I highly recommend a DIY instead of cruise tour due to the ease & flexibility. You can replicate any cruise tour for a fraction of the cost.

What is the NCL procedure for their transfer service to LGA or EWR upon disembarking? We used NCL transfer service in Seattle & it was easy & flawless. We all met at a centralized location at the pier then boarded the bus for transport to SEA. Is this how it works in NYC?

We saw whales & even a pod of orcas feeding from our balcony in 2016 aboard the NCL Sun northbound to Seward.

Our stay at the Lakefront was great. Staff was very helpful. We told the front desk that we were going return our rental at the airport & would take the hotel shuttle back. At the airport they told us the wrong pickup point for the shuttle & after we had not returned to the hotel in a timely manner, 2 employees from the front desk come pick us up without us calling the hotel. Can’t ask for better service than that! Food was good at the restaurant but a little pricey. Really enjoyed watching the plane land & take off on the lake.
Favorite entertainers on ncl ships.
