  1. So my question is,  I am looking at a 14 day cruise in 2023. We normally book balconies,  but we would not be able to afford a balcony on this cruise.  We have an interior booked on an European cruise  August 2022. So if we decide we absolutely hate an interior room can we cancel that cruise and use the deposit for another cruise? Thanks.

  2. So,,,, the proper way to use the shore excursion credit is to follow the written rules for the promotion.

Shore excursion credit can only be redeemed by calling 1-866-625-1167 or booking onboard.

When you call, the shore ex is reserved, but you are not charged. On Embarkation day, all of your shore ex is charged to your onboard account. As you complete your shore ex, a $50 is posted to your on board account (basically paying for part of the shore ex).

As for the soda package, it is always available on board.

Thank you so much. I did not see that. You just made my day. :D:D

  3. My DW and I are booked on our first NCL cruise. Its on the Epic January 12th out of Orlando. When we booked it we got 2 free offers. Most people would take the drink package but my wife and I dont drink. So we took the Dinning package and 50 dollars off shore excursions. Well I didnt realize when we took that one that it gives you $50 onboard credit per excursion not $50 off each excursion. So when we cruise we always purchase the soda package. So I am thinking thats what we will use our on board credit for but when I was looking at the soda packages I noticed it said limited availability. Do they not sell the package while on board the ship? We normally sale Carnival and this year we tried RCI. And on both we have seen them selling the packages. Is there any way of spending on board credit before you sale to purchase the soda package? There are 6 or 7 ports on this cruise plus we have a $100 on board credit too so that will cover the soda package . Thanks. Luke

  4. That actually is consistent with the plans for the Panorama, and the much shortened schedule the Horizon did. Whatever the reason, whether it be lack of interest in bookings (which is what suspect) or another reason, I do not read this as a "change". Like you, I enjoy sailing on a Carnival ship in locations other than the Caribbean. I totally understand the corporate view, it is just not my view.

Lastly, I have heard some rumblings that the Panorama might not be going straight to Long Beach....we will see.

It really doesnt make sense why they arent doing Europe. My mum is a travel agent and she says European cruises are at an all time high in sales.

  5. I know it isn't garenteed to do any Baltic but I am just hoping because the Spirit class ships were built there and they all did Baltic inaugural sailings. So fingers crossed. Ports could be limited do to fuel source and size but if Carnival doesn't do it we will be doing RCI.

  6. We cruised RCL for the first time this year on Anthem of the Seas. We normally sail Carnival. I agree with you sum what on the food. The main dining room food was a bit better then Carnival but the specialty restraurants on Carnival are much better. We were disappointed with Jamie OliverS. And Chops was good, but very little vegetables on the menu. We didn't like how it was served. RCL buffets are set up better then Carnival. Although the Conquest class ships are a little squeezed in anyways.

We like the staff better on Carnival. The cruise director made fun of Carnival a few times and found it in poor taste.

Carnival does have more activities. That we are interested in anyways.

RCL blow Carnival away in the main show department.

It's too bad the Conquest was your first Carnival cruise. That class of ship has a crappie layout. Try the Dream Class, Vista, or my favorite class Spirit.

But saying all the negative comments about RCL, I would still definitely sail RCL again. But Carnival deep down is my favorite. I just found we seemed to be on more of a scedule on RCL and wasn't quite so laid back. Maybe if I try a smaller ship on RCL it would be different. I enjoyed your feedback. Luke
