BTW, suite bed linens are changed EVERY day. I think that is obsessive...so usually mention to my steward that he doesn't have to do that, especially on turn around days.
Wow, I did not know that. That’s just nutty.
I’ve got a WS coming up in December, will certainly provide my steward with the same message.- 1

Great review and photos.
I’ve not seen that itinerary before, I’m very intrigued. -
I used the one Princess provided on the Emerald once, and thereafter just went with air dry. Took about the same length of time, tho it was a warm climate cruise.

Amazing, you’re very lucky.
Upgraded to a full suite at a guarantee price!- 1

He’s a celebrity?
Huh! Never heard of him- 1

Definitely not the fewest solos, that’s more likely on the luxury lines (due to single supplement).
Princess does schedule a solo get together, at least on the first day and possibly every day, not sure. It’s advertised in the Daily Patter and in my experience is well-attended. The problem is that it’s unhosted, leaving us to fend for ourselves. But I’ve definitely found traveling companions at those events.
You can also try looking for other solos at Trivia and join them to make a team. And if you volunteer to share a table at lunch or dinner, you’ll have ready-made opportunities to meet people who want to meet you!

Wow. Never even occurred to me to check.
Fair enough, I can follow rules.
(and yes, I eat my apple-a-day in the afternoon, and did not want to seek out a crew member to slice it for me!)

Could have been a fork, a broken beer bottle, or a knife that a passenger smuggled onboard.
Umm, I have taken a sharp serrated knife on several Princess cruises, like you would use to slice a loaf of bread or cut an apple into pieces. I didn't smuggle anything on purpose -- are knives prohibited?

To get a balcony for 12-night cruise for hubby and I, it would be about 1450 more.
Are you sure that math is right? When I looked, it said Interior from 1399/pp and Balcony from 1699/pp

My very favorite cruise, one I’ll repeat some day.
As for excursions, I have just one thing to say: Giant’s Causeway.

I did Chef’s Table with a full kitchen tour last month on the Emerald. Three other women in the group wore open-toed sandals, no one batted an eye and they were permitted to participate. 🤷♀️

Our experience is bring all you want. We typically take 2-4 6 pack of plastic bottled of coke zero or 7up zero.
Bottles are not allowed on Princess, only sealed cans.
See the multiple posts including the quote: “Guests are also prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non- alcoholic beverages on board that are packaged in bottles.- 1

Was on Emerald last month, and didn’t even notice!
But I played a lot of trivia and did a shout-out to two of them by name, they really were exceptional -
I hate it.
I’ve looked at five cruises (‘25-‘26) and will not book any of them because I am not permitted to choose my cabin.- 4

Just one experience so far, last month on Emerald
The cakes in IC look good
But they taste pretty ordinary IRL

You do not have to order it, one will be waiting for you.
But if you have ~week before you depart, I’d order. Worst that can happen is that you end up with two. In fact, shipping may not be available if Princess doesn’t think they can get it to you in time. -

In Cabo?
Afraid so. Police, soldiers idk. Big guns, I’d call them M-16s but that’s a guess.
There were just two of them, hanging out a step back from the main thoroughfare in a tunnel/arcade. Very much like what I encountered at Windsor Castle shortly after 9/11. -
I took the Todos Santos excursion as a solo traveler last month with no problems. I did see well-armed soldiers at the port entrance - that may make you feel either more or less safe, for me it was slightly unnerving. But once we arrived in town (it’s a pretty long bus ride), we had periods of free time and I wandered quite a bit away with no qualms at all. You’ll be fine.

Hello,
Does Princess withhold payment of a medallion order until closer to the cruise sail date? My cruise is two weeks away. I had put in an order for a personalized medallion with a wrist band accessory not long after I booked the cruise. I did not have it shipped to me. I just got an email today saying my payment method didn’t go through and so my order has been cancelled. It goes on to say that I can pick up my medallion (a standard medallion) on embarkation day and can purchase an accessory on board. The credit card I originally used had to be cancelled due to fraudulent activity on it. I immediately updated my card information in my profile when I got my replacement card. So, just wondering if the medallion order didn’t update and they just now tried to put the order payment through, using the cancelled card number?
This exact thing happened to me. I did not want Blue Lane so I just reordered my medallion (albeit the second time without bells and whistles) and it arrived several days before I flew to the port.

Edit: OK - I think I see it now... there is the WIndow Suite and then there us "Reserve Collection" Window Suite which has the perks (for an additional $97/day)
That doesn’t sound right.
You’re looking on Grand Princess?- 1

We took the in-laws to Alaska on Grand a few years back (September), both couples in adjacent WS, and did not miss the balcony AT ALL.
And we loved the central location, dining privileges, laundry, Sabatini's Breakfast, tender priority, etc.
But it sounds like you get more use from your balcony than I usually end up with (ie, just occasionally) so yes check the weather and know that YMMV. Enjoy your trip!

Interesting. My experience with Salty Dog Gastropub (located inside Wheelhouse Bar irrc) on Emerald was that they definitely required reservations at dinner.

I'm recently off the Emerald, and I was really unimpressed with the whole concept of Casual Dining. Seemed like they were never open, and when they were open you needed to have a reservation, and when you finally got to eat there the menu was so limited ... What's casual and good about all of that??
Maybe I was doing it wrong

I can’t believe I read that whole thing…but I’m delighted that I did! Very entertaining, thanks for sharing. Did you avail yourself of the 2x/day desserts? Yeah I didn’t think so.
I’ll be in a mini for a 28-day cruise next year. I’m a little anxious about the length, having recently (and very eagerly) disembarked from a 15-day trip. Won’t they run out of trivia questions?
