I think waiting for a pack and play is better also but they don't seem to be coming. I agree though that the casino rate for a premier cruise is not a very good deal to make me want to book it.

And the continued comments on bad customer service continues. maybe try calling your credit card company and tell them you didn't buy it.

That will probably make it a bigger mess. I am platinum on Carnival so my expectations are not that high, so I will probably think everything is great. Sailing on the 23rd also. The drink promo does sound like it might slow things up as previously posted. I will be on vacation, and on a ship so I will not have many complaints.:cool:

Nothing here either and previous offers were taken off the board. I am not changing loyalties, since I am platinum,, but NCL had some great offers for January out of Port Canaveral. I sail solo and they had no solo supplement on 7 day cruise. Probably trying to lure customers with being new to PC and the competition. Although mixed reviews on the boat I figure it can't be any worse then sailing on Fascination or Sensation. I am booked. Carnival has to start making some good offers.

I have been on the Fascination three times in the last two years. they have flat screen TV's but that is about all the update in the rooms. They are clean but it is still an old ship.

I was also on the Sunshine 10/18-10/23. I am platinum so have been on a lot of carnival cruises. This ship was hands down the best laid out ship and cleanest I have been on in a while. The complainers of this ship are just that, complainers. They either don't sail much or like was said before expect too much for Wal Mart prices. There are so many options for food I don't see how you can complain about he variety. One guy during the safety briefing next to me said how long is this going to last, I didn't pay for this. I wanted to slap him silly. After we missed HMC, which can't be helped, I heard passengers saying we paid for three ports and only got two we should get money back. Read your contract. I laugh at these people and just go about having a good time. The Sunshine will not disappoint if you know how to cruise and have a good time. Oh yeah, and don't let the small stuff bother you.

This is what I meant by my last posting about pissing off a lot of gamblers. It may be random but in the eyes of the gambler who spends a lot of money and time in the casino they can't understand why lesser gamblers get the offers and not them. Again I have gotten the offers so this is not complaining. I just don't know their rhyme or reason for giving them out. Again if we knew that we would all be doing it.:cool:

I am going on the Sunshine Sunday. I have a balcony on deck 7. Got a call today to upgrade to a gran suite for $600. Since I was already on a balcony did not think it a great deal A Grand Suite once in my life would be nice but not at that price, especially since its only a 5 night cruise. I offered $300 but he didn't take it . Had to try.

I really think the pack and play is more random then the bounce back offers. There are rules in place for the BB offers. pack and play is a mystery. I play a lot in the casinos. I won big one time and was offered pack and play when I got home. The next two times I lost big and no offers came. I am happy for all who get offers but I think carnival gets more people upset with this system then happy because you hear people who spend $100 a night and get offers and people who spend a lot more and don't. I am happy when I get them and not upset when I don't. I just keep checking for the surprise offer.

This may have been addressed before but I can't find the thread. I will reach Platinum status during my next cruise. Will I have platinum benefits for that cruise or for the following cruises?

Is there a way to find out how many points you accumulated on last cruise. I had over 1500 because I got the DOU card early in cruise but never checked at end of cruise how many I had.

I sailed on the Liberty twice this past summer and it was great. I just sailed again on December 6th and I was schocked at the difference. I think they changed a lot of the crew and even the captain in the middle of the cruise. it was Ok but nothing to write home about. MDR service was slow, entertainment was different and not as good as the summer and the CD was different that also made a difference. I was on the Freedom in November and that was a great cruise and ship. I guess i had the same expectations for this cruise and it was not even close.

It was the pack and play offer. basically a free cruise. I have not received the offer this time though. Am bummed out.

This was back in October. I just went to the sight and booked Nov. Dec. and Jan. The deals kept coming up so I booked them. They stopped at the end of January. I guess they changed the rules this time.

Do not have one...yet. Do you think its becasue I got greedy when they offered me this in October and I signed up for three cruises in three consecutive months? :o

Well, what we think and what carnival thinks are two different thinks. I cruise solo often also and never got double days for the 6 solo cruises on Carnival. Did get it once on RCCL but it was some sort of promotion. If you pay for two I think you should get double days.

I was on the Liberty twice this past summer and have a cruise booked for December. It is a good ship with a friendly crew that tries to do its best. Obviously I have enjoyed the exprience or would not be taking another cruise on this ship. That being said, different people see things differnetly. I am saying this in a nice way. Certain people give a bad review if there is bad weather on the cruise. Or there was a line to get on and off the boat. Unless I read about a glaring problem that is repeated in these postings I pretty much go and make up my own mind. Some people like Carnival pricing and then complain that they are not getting Crystal or Regent line treatment. I find those postings humorous reading.

Glad I checked here because I was not checking my VIFP site at Carnival. Saw this and checked and I was getting the pack and play offer. For those who wonder how to get this I just think its the luck of the draw. I cruise often and gamble, but this was my first pack and play offer. Took 3 solo cruises this past summer and the single supplement kills me. These offers make up for that. Booked a 6 day Balcony on Freedom in NOV for $454 for two. A 6 Day Balcony on Conquest in Jan. for $454 for two. And a 7 day solo interior on Liberty in Dec. for $212! All these include taxes and fees, $100 OBC and take another 10% off these prices because I am uising Verizon e gift cards. Christmas comes early. Not bragging, just happy I am finally getting something back from Carnival for all those times I paid for that empty bed on my solo cruises.

Just ordered some today and got them immediately in an email. Cruising Saturday. Will apply to S&S account
