Booked our Vow Renewal along with our friends for our Nov. cruise to celebrate our 40th. Anniversaries!  Can't wait.  Thanks for all the info that everyone posted.

REALLY enjoying your post & your pictures are BEAUTIFUL.  It's so nice that you travel with your Mom.  Wish I could do that with mine, but she's now in a home & at 99 1/2 yrs. old, don't think she could travel any more.  Enjoy the rest of your cruise & I look forward to hearing more & seeing more of your pictures.  (we LOVED Alaska, & hope to go back again).

Does anyone know how much a taxi would be into Cartagena Old Town or is it close enough to walk & would it be safe?

My parents did the vow renewal last July on the Grand.  My sister and I paid for it and it was the best $225 we ever spent!  The ceremony and flowers were beautiful.  We had a private ceremony, I think because we had about 40 people attending, but right before their renewal three brides and grooms exited the chapel, so I assume they had a group ceremony.

 

The photographer was great.  He got so many great pictures.  My parents ended up buying a ton and they never said how much they paid, but did say it was a pretty penny!

 

 

Did you just pay for it with a Credit Card?  I don't want to use our onboard credit for it, so wasn't sure if I can pay now with a Cr.Cd.

The renewal of vows ceremony is not a group event. It is a personalized service for you and your significant other and whomever else you would like to attend. They may offer a group renewal of vows but when you pay for one it isn't the same. The group one maybe a complimentary one they do in the Piazza. You will get a notice in your cabin the first day to contact a certain person and/or department to go about setting up your personal service.

Well now I'm really confused!  I called Princess to see how we go about arranging the vow renewal for us & our friends together, and then she said "it is a group ceremony", which I see that in the small print on the description of the pkg.  So is it a "group" or can it be just us 4??  Princess was no help at all !  We want it to be just us 4, as it's very special to all of us, has a special meaning.  HELP

WOW, you looked BEAUTIFUL & so did DH !  Loved your dress & flowers.  The pictures were so nice, thanks for sharing.

My husband surprised me for our 30th with a vow renewal.  Our good friends were there along with some of the crew which I thought was so nice.  The Captain officiated and the vows were beautiful and appropriate for a renewal.  We had flowers and a photographer and a meal in the steak house afterwards.  Worth the money!  You could do it with your friends probably at the same time and in the chapel with just you, not a mass ceremony.  I say go for it!!!

That was so nice of your husband to do that.  Was he able to pick the day & time that he wanted?

Thank you all so much for the info.  We understood that the "package vow renewal" was with a group, but if it's just for one couple & we get to choose when, I will consider it.  I think I will call Princess to see about the group one to see if they do it on CB for our Panama Canal cruise.  We are traveling with our good friends who are also celebrating 40 yrs. & we'd like to do it together as I caught her bouquet 40 yrs. ago!

Has anyone done a vow renewal on the ship & is it worth the money?  I've heard it's done with a group, is that correct?

yes, just complete the cruise personalizer as usual and you can pick up the medallion at the port ... don't 'have' to be ocean ready ...

 

then treat the OM as you would you old cruise card ... security ... open cabin door ... buy drinks ... use in shops

If you don't have a smartphone, how do you go about signing up for the medallions?  I'm so confused!  LOL  We don't have "smartphones"!  Can we just get the medallions at the port when we check in??

Oh, that's so pretty & yes, we have a Dillard's & Macy's.  I'm actually looking for a tea length or knee length wedding dress in Ivory or a Blush, but will check out those stores too.  Thanks for the info.

my cousin ordered a pair of shoes and never got them.  They sent her another pair free.

Has anyone done a vow renewal on Caribbean Princess recently?  If so, what did you think.

Does Princess automatically mail you the Medallions or do you have to request them?

How come my countdown clock disappeared?  I also saw on some others that their's are gone too!  Wish they would stop changing things on here!!
