  1. Just a thought but as there is invariably not enough room in the theatres for some of the shows on p & o, for the ships that have them, why not use the big screens that they have? It would still be live but would free up space. Admittedly you wouldn't be in the theatre watching it in front of you but you'd still watch it live. I know I missed a couple of shows on Azura last year as there weren't any seats left. On lovely balmy evenings it'd be nice to be sat under the stars with a cocktail and watch the shows. Controversial comment, but better than football matches all the time :-)

  2. Sigh....why oh why. If you have the money and you want to be in a better area good on you, doesn't mean there's a class And why has the thread gone from a cocktail to class distinction?

  3. It did have Kobe on the side but surely it didn’t travel all the way to Kobe in Japan ?

I just searched Kobe to Busan, and yes, a ferry does operate!!! Wow!! Once again, I will probably never go on a world cruise, so thank you all for th posts!! Loving them [emoji3]

  4. I did my first TA last year on Azura. Southampton to Barbados. I picked the wrong ship for me. The age range was varied as there were 70 kids on board so families and all age ranges even though half term had finished. I found Azura didn't have enough outside space, and was really disappointed with it all. Shame but I guess my expectations were too high. If I go again I will try get a balcony on the sunny side for some peace and quiet!

  5. Thank you all for posting live from the world cruises. I've travelled once with Cunard in 2013 which was my first cruise. I hope one day that I can do a wc, not holding out much hope mind! but I have learnt so much from following the wc this year and last year. Thank you so much (hoping a librarian job comes up on Cunard soon!!)

  6. Entertainment does appear to have been trimmed down to a price in recent Caribbean seasons. Compared with say 5 years ago we have lost one of the cocktail pianists, the resident steel band, the classical musician(s), the guitarist in Ramblas and one of the groups. No music in the Exchange any more, just quizzes etc, and dancing to CDs instead of the Red Bar pianist on half the nights in the atrium. But you get what you pay for.

I expected a lot more for the amount of money I paid that's for sure. I encountered a stalker, a room that couldn't be made into a double even though room allocation was changed before travel, dismal food in the buffet, dismal entertainment, sun beds where if I led down I had someone's feet in my face or vice versa. Thank goodness most of the people I met were nice.i could go on but I'm sending an email to p and o so won't. It's not often I complain about things in life but this cruise unfortunately is one big one.

  7. Entertainment was passable. Headliners shows really good but the rest felt like I was at a holiday camp and the ship basically forgot they had passengers the last 2 nights if you were on 15 nights. Very disappointed. Best bit was the cruise critic meet up in the first sea day. Sorry to be so negative but I was very disappointed and expected much better.

  8. Here's the flight schedule from 14/15 nov ImageUploadedByForums1416741065.288749.jpg.f4919cdec88602cb19dff5e97ec51f57.jpg

Some people went on the goodbye Barbados trip and got to the airport 7 hours before flight. Tbh I suggest going out to taxi rank and getting one of their trips, get back for lunch and then wait for coach to airport. (Does depend on flight time though).

  9. Aggh! We're going a voyage too late! Unless ......... if you're reading this Murray, you can have the sofa bed in our room for a couple of weeks.

    .

Lol it was a special cruise because he was in there and was very expensive. If I'd have gone on that as I did last year I would have paid triple for same trip last year Barr 1 day. Just goes to show what an icon Murray is!!

  10. Thanks for all your comments everyone, still upset about losing some pictures but did have a back up but cant replace the ones earlier in the cruise. Yes there's always going to be one to spoil it for others, but P & O staff will never go over and above their call of duty , so it has put me off them now. Also there were many morons on that cruise and there were also staff changes due 2 days later .Makes me think............

I was not happy with that cruise either and am in the process of drafting an email. Really sorry you lost your camera :(

  11. Just returned from Azura and wifi on ship is apparently going to be upgraded during refit next April. Will no doubt still be expensive but may be more reliable.

Used wifi in bars in St Maarten you can also purchase time from the post office near to the ship, iirc it was $5 for half hour, St Kitts was in the shopping area near the craft market for free. Antigua, I found free wifi in the casino near the ship. St Lucia you can buy wifi for $6 for whole day. Barbados was out near the taxis and a bar and free.

  12. We have just boarded in Sydney. Coming out of the Queens Room on completion of the emergency drill, I saw a little Japanese lady, complete with mouth mask, pick up the hand sanitiser bottle and go over to the plastic plants and squirt the contents over them! Did she think she was watering them, feeding them or just killing the germs they produce?! The mind boggles!

Awwww I would say she was dusting them but I know the florists look after the plants really well on the ships! One morning I was wandering early and they were snipping out the lily stamens from recently opened Lily's
