  1. My offer showed up online when I logged in to my Carnival Account...Then you go to the Manage tab...then VIFP Club...Then My Offers.

Be sure that when you are searching cruises on the Carnival site to make sure under the Special Offers section that the VIFP area is checked off and the number is in the box. I tried it a couple of times and it didn't have the number listed.

69 days until our free cruise!!!

That's awesome!!! Truly jealous. Enjoy it

  2. I love JVD, and I made it a point to get there when in ST Thomas. There are several power boats ( not sailboats) that do it all the time. Nate's tours and Vilocity are two, but there are others. You can find them and great reviews on tripadvisor.

The part that you need to do to make it finacially work is have 5 people or more. I did the research, and then put it on CruiseCritic under the roll call for my sailing. I quickly found 2 other couples to make it a $135 option.

That's not cheap, but the British Virgin Islands are amazing, and also it's a private tour with just the people cruising with you.

    Good luck

I appreciate the help! Do you mind me asking who you used?

  3. Was wondering if anyone has used Inter Island Boat Services to get to jost? We will be in st thomas on the carnival valor in may but are not too sure about the times. According to the itinerary…

We should disembark at 7am, then we would need to get a cab from charlotte amalie to red hook, then the boat leaves red hook at 8am, 30 minute boat ride to st john, then another 45 to great harbor jost van dyke.

Then on the way back the boat leaves Jost at 4pm, 30 min boat ride back to red hook, then cab back to charlotte amalie, then the valor leaves at 5pm. is this even doable? sounds a little close on times.

It seems to be the cheapest, $70 round trip

  4. I prefer that Carnival charges me $399 for a cruise and I get to CHOOSE whether I spend $20 extra on a concert, $35 extra at the steakhouse, $100 extra for a spa pass, $200 extra for a drink package, etc, instead of charging me a flat cruise fare of $754 with all these things included.

I think people should be thankful that cruise pricing these days is unbundled, giving them the chance to truly choose what they want to pay for, instead of being forced to pay for things that they may not care for.

  5. To each their own I guess. It doesn't give me any more reason to cruise and the entertainment should already be included in the cruise fare IMHO.

Average everyday entertainment is included. This type of entertainment is above and beyond that. People pay hundreds of dollars to snorkel for a few hours, this is nothing.

  6. So, you had to pay hundreds of dollars for a cruise and then pay more to see a concert. I can see some of these bands in my hometown for a lot less money than seeing them on a cruise ship. If the concert was included as part of the cruise fare then that's fine but to have to pay extra no thanks, I'll wait for REO or Styx to come to me.

For someone already planning on taking a vacation this gives them even more reason to cruise. And too pay $20-$40 extra to see a band like reo is a great value IMO
