Does anyone have recommendations for private transportation in San Juan that could take us from airport to hotel, hotel to ship, ship to airport? We are a party of 5 with a bunch of luggage and would prefer one large van as opposed to splitting into two cabs.
I used them as well https://puertoricocruiseexcursions.com/excursions/san-juan-airport-cruise-ship-transfers-tours-hotel-airport-cruise-ship-drop-off/
Cheaper than the cruise ship prices, comes out to about $10.00 per person.

If you get a hotel either way you will spend about $200 Plus dollars for room and the transport. Why not have breakfast at the airport and take a tour from the airport with your luggage and then be dropped off at the cruise ship. If the ship leaves that late then you can also have lunch on the ship and still have time to walk around Old Town all afternoon.

Yes, nice beach great price for what you get.....

For the most part all majors charge $15-$20 per day, maybe booking direct can get you some discount but i doubt it.
The smaller boutique hotels tend to not charge for parking.

You will have time to visit the closets fort with your time in port. Plenty to walk around and see. Alot of uneven roads and up all the way so if that is an issue take a tour:)

Either pier will be quick

Sting-pr...any other recs up in Condado or maybe Isla Verde?
mchelle77, these will require a taxi ride. Rates are probably metered to these places from the cruise pier but pre-hurricane from Condado to the cruise piers was between $12-$15 one way.
I got the package from island marketing and started at the beach then went up onto their roof top. I enjoyed my stay on their roof top right on the beach of Isla verde:)

With such a short stay, I’m wondering if there’s enough time. Also, I’ve read that San Juan has recovered well. Does anyone know the condition of these areas?

I just came back from a quick weekend trip and San Juan on the outside was fine, east was ok.

They finally got back to me after I messaged them twice on social media and said $40pp which includes a towel and a beach chair. There are cheaper options so we opted for something else.
$40.00 for only chairs and towels is really not worth it.....

The Sheraton is a great hotel depending on your budget, try bidding on price line even for Isla Verde. Plan to be off the ship on a good day around 9:00AM and take it from their. Your 15-20 minutes away from the airport on a perfect day.

I have to say, i did various tours with them and was very happy all private. Their beach break for the price is sooo worth it. Especially if your wanting drinks on the beach. If you do choose it let us know how that went, have not been to their new location yet. Looks so much better this time with a roof top pool.
Thanks everyone...appreciate the feedback.
pdc2013, I was actually just looking at the "Beach Break" excursion from Island Marketing, and it seems like a pretty good deal, with lunch and drinks included, and a place to shower and change before heading to the airport. Thinking we'll probably book that.
whengingersnaps - going to check our San Juan Happy Tours before we book to see what they have to offer.

You can either walk around Old San Juan, especially if it is your first time there. If it is not, you could go to the beach for drinks and watch the sun go down. That is always a good one:)

I do not know how many there are out there but other than Ellis, i used Island Marketing and did exactly what your looking for....
-
i just remembered that there is a chili's in Isla Verde as well.

It seems to have returned almost to normal as far as tours go except the rain forest. If you never have been to the old city do that walking or tour, whatever suits your needs. Or as i say go to the beach, Rain or shine beautiful nature, i love watching storms at the beach so i am always happy there.

Once you fill out their form they send you all that information. Its not a resort per say but it does have a great roof top terrace with a small millennium style pool over looking the ocean. Its where i spent late afternoon watching the sun go down.
