Great review. We did the same cruise in early Sept and really enjoyed it. Hopefully all the traffic issues will be worked out when the new cruise terminal opens.

JiffyMom - kudos to a "glass half full" perspective. The complaining does get tiresome, and who would miss the snarky comments?

The shorter the cruise, the younger the crowd, and the more partying. Spring break would not discourage us from cruising. We did a 4 nighter on Majesty out of Miami (2 50/60s couples) in March during the height of spring break a few years ago and had a wonderful time. I did get some strange looks from shopkeepers when I told them I was on Spring Break!

We sailed this year to Bermuda on Sept 6. Seas were extremely calm on the way to Bermuda and a little rough on the return. We have had rougher seas in the past sailing in May. I guess the decision depends on your risk tolerance and flexibility (in case they have to 're-route. Enjoy whatever you choose to do.

We were also on this cruise - first time on Explorer, but 20-something RCI cruises. We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise - the staff we encountered were all wonderful. Loved the two days in Bermuda. No complaints about anything.
