  1. I have used a suction cup grab bar (Torn ACL, MCL  - Knee) for a year now and it does really hold, however I check them once a week to make sure they are still firmly attached. They do occationally give way if you do not check the suction regularily. They really help climbing in and out of the tub. It is a bit of a lesson in you get what you pay for though. The ones I have were purchased form a medical supply store and although a bit more expensive I have confidence that they will hold. I have used cheaper suction cup products before and they do not work as well.

  2. However practical, this may be a strange question, but has anyone ever tried to attach a suction cup shaving pedistal to the shower wall, specifically on crown Princess? The showers are so small I wondered if if might be easier to attach one to the wall of the shower?? Because it is removable it would not cause any damage.  The product instructions say it needs a smooth surface to attach correctly. Are the walls of the shower smooth? Has anyone tried a product like this before and did it work?

If not does anyone have any tips to make these small showers more user friendly?

    Thanks for your help

  3. Does anyone have MDR Menu's for the Crown Princess. We are taking a 12 day British Isles Cruise on the Crown this August (our first Crusie with Princess) and would be very interested in seeing recent menus.

    Thanks,

    Charlene

  4. We renewed our vows on the Amsterdam (14 day Alaskan) for our 25th anniversary two years ago. It was very well done and very special to us. We lucked out and we were the only ones renewing our vows so it was a private ceremony. We invited 4 guests (paid - sorry I cannot remember how much it was). We received invitations for our guests a few days before the ceremony took place.  It was held in the Crow’s Nest, the area was walled off so it was very private. A Pianist played in the background the entire time. There were lovely appetizers and champagne along with cake. The flowers were beautiful and the staff went out of their way to make our event special.  It was held on our last sea day. We chose to book our included Pinnacle dinner for another night as we had been warned that with all of the appetizers and cake we would not be hungry for dinner and we were glad we did. The Captain was charming and we very much felt at ease. The staff allowed us to make some personal touches. My Dad read the speech that my Godfather had given at our wedding (a surprise for us)  and it was a very special touch. It was a heartfelt evening and I would absolutely recommend renewing your vows!

  5. I have seen reference to Princess wine packages (silver and Gold) here on Cruise Critic posted in 2017 but I can't seem to find anything newer here or on the Princess site. We are doing a 12 day cruise in 2019 and are wondering if this is still available??

    Thanks

  6. We always get an extra key when we sail with our children one for their room and one for ours. It works great. A warning however, the key will open the door even if you have the deadbolt on. (on Celebrity and Holland American at least, I have not tested it on Princess but I would assume it would be the same). We accidentally discovered this one afternoon when our daughter walked in on my husband and I ... napping (wink, wink). Oops . Needless to say we laugh about it now. We still get the extra key but ask that they knock first!

  7. Many many recent threads on this subject
Sorry I am new to Princess and I just spent the last few hours tying to find these answers and I was unsuccessful. We have sailed on other lines before and I just wanted clarification.

Thank you to the others who kindly answered my questions.
