Just got off the ship a few days ago. We did not know about white night or Polynesian night ahead of time and did not pack accordingly. On white night it seemed maybe half the passengers had gotten the memo and were wearing white. On Polynesian night more people were dressed in Hawaiian shirts etc but we did not feel out of place without them.

We just stayed in 708. I saw the captains lounge is near our cabin on the floor plan but we literally had no evidence of it or traffic from it. It might only be accessible from the odd-numbered side, not sure.

The documentation from PG says that for inter-island flights (we're doing a post-cruise Bora Bora stay), "Each boarding passenger is allowed a single 18 x 14 x 8 in (45 x 35 x 20 cm) carry-on weighing at the most 6 lbs (3 kg)" Just wanted to double-check that this is correct. I am planning to take a backpack with camera and lenses, which will weigh >6 lbs. I really prefer not to check it...

Some of the shore excursions we wanted to book are sold out. We were told to contact onboard services once we're on board and they can put us on a wait list. But in another post I saw on this forum, someone said they contacted onboard services ahead of time. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how to do it? Thanks!
