On board booking gives you OBC for the cruise you are booking; not the cruise you are on. There is a reduced deposit for categories below suites.

Well I have to disagree with you there. We have booked future cruises where the OBC was added immediately to our current cruise account.
If that wasn’t the case I wouldn’t have said it.
So, please don’t confuse the OP!

  2. There is advantage in booking future cruises on board. One perk is that they’ll usually give you some OBC to use on your current cruise.
Whatever deal they offer you on the future cruise will be the same as if you booked on-line or through a Celebrity agent back home. You may be able to pay a reduced deposit though.
What is good though is that you get a guaranteed lowest price. So if you see that the cruise price comes down before you sail Celebrity will match the new price, which isn’t the same if you booked from home. That includes any sales promotions, so you need to keep checking (as they don’t volunteer any of that info), and get in touch with Celebrity.

  3. We’ve got 3 nights in HK in January 2024 before boarding Solstice. We favoured staying in Kowloon, and the Tsim Sha Tsui area, and got a good deal on the Kowloon Hotel. £130 a night, pay at hotel, and can cancel up-to the day before!

I'd really like to try the 0% Gin. We are beer/wine drinkers with about the only mixed drink choice being Gin and Tonic (especially before dinner or in hot weather). I actually am content with just tonic water as a drink, but if I could get that 'gin' taste in there that would be nice.

We are 'drinkers' in that we still drink, but appreciate non-alcoholic options to alternate or replace drinks when on holiday and drinking more (and our tolerance continues to erode with age .....)

My wife says it’s passable (if you can’t have the real thing)!!

Curious if anyone has had Non-Alcoholic Gin.    Does it actually taste like Gin?

I"m not a drinker and was wondering if it actually good or even similar.   Inquiring mind wants to know.

0.0% Gin seems to be growing in the EU and UK. Big brands like Gordon’s and Tanqueray certainly have them.
Myself, I’m a drinker,  and don’t see the point in them! But having tried some there is a resemblance and what you mix it with has a big say.

Shouldn’t zero alcohol vodka be water?

Gin is also nothing more than vodka infuse with Juniper Berries.   So it would be water infused with the berries.

Get water and add lime, lemon, orange, tea, coffee and etc.    No alcohol

A few of my relatives attend AA.   They won’t  drink any product that claims to be alcohol free such as beer and spirits because it still has alcohol traces.

    Just trying  to help.

    Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Not quite sure why you would have thought this was trying to help?

I've no experience with the Martini Bar and alcohol-free gin, but there are non-alcoholic drinks and wine available onboard.  Monday makes an excellent alcohol-free gin and it would be interesting if they stocked it on board.  I'll ask the next time I'm onboard.

The last time I asked on board all they had was an O’Douls lager, which in reality was a 0.5% low alcohol lager (and not a true 0% alcohol free). That was a couple of years back and thought that they might have some 0% gin by now.

I've been wondering the same. Currently booked on the same itinerary as you but in November and as things currently stand I don't see it going ahead, or at least not the Hong Kong portion. Problem is if it were to start and end in Singapore a lot of the other ports will have to be cancelled/changed. I'm not sure there would be enough time to get to Ha Long and back to Singapore unless several intermediate ports were skipped and several more sea days added.

We were due to do HK to Singapore in Feb 2020 on Millennium. Before they cancelled this completely they gave us a fair bit of notice that HK was cancelled and we’d start & finish in Singapore. The rest of the itinerary was pretty much the same and still going to a Halong Bay. However, they pulled the whole cruise 2 days before we were due to fly out to Singapore!!

  9. Our Jan 2024 Hong Kong to Singapore on Solstice is also still showing. We’ve had to rebook this several times now, since it first got cancelled in Feb 2020.

I will say though, that while China is maintaining this Zero-Covid policy, I can’t see this going and wouldn’t be surprised to see it cancelled. Or, more likely, have an itinerary change where HK is cancelled in favour of joining and leaving in Singapore.

LOL--- I was going to have a little humor regarding your previous post where you took some " heat " , but, enough is enough.

Seriously, perhaps your airline would provide/sell a pass to their First Class Lounge where you could spend the day?

I’m always up for a bit of humour Pinboy! My shoulders are broad! And as you can see, I’ve broken cover!!

I'm already travelling Club Class, with lounge access, but 10 hours in there would seriously affect my chances of being allowed on the plane!!
